MONROE - No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash in Clarno Township at 4:06 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Nicole L. Friese, 37, Orangeville, was southbound on Wisconsin 69 and approaching the intersection with County P when she struck a vehicle driven by Eric S. Wheeler, 28, Monroe. Friese told deputies she looked away from the road and when she looked back, she was upon Wheeler's stopped vehicle, as he waited to turn onto County P. She swerved to the right to avoid a collision and hit the rear passenger side of his vehicle. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.

On Saturday, Oct. 12:

• Cameron R. Edler, 35, Browntown, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident at 7:47 a.m. on Wis. 81 at Keegan Lane in Jordan Township. He was towing a silage bagging unit eastbound when the bagger detached from his truck and collided with a utility pole. The bagging unit sustained minor damage. The truck was undamaged. The utility pole broke and had to be replaced.

• No injuries were reported from a car vs. SUV crash at 6:09 p.m. in the W5100 block of County W in New Glarus Township. Stephen J. Bak, 20, Madison, was pulling out of a driveway to make a left turn onto County W when he was momentarily blinded by the sun and did not see an eastbound SUV driven by Donald B. Johnson, 67, Belleville. The vehicles collided. Both were severely damaged and towed.

• Kathryn A. Reidenbach, 52, Juda, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash at 7:42 p.m. on County KS east of Twin Grove Road in Jefferson Township. The vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front and driver's side. It was driven from the scene.

On Sunday, Oct. 13:

• Scott A. Hanson, 42, Brodhead, was uninjured in a deer vs. truck crash at 7:54 p.m. on Wis. 11 west of County KK in Monroe Township. The truck was severely damaged and towed.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Bobbi J. Brown, 33, Cuba City, reported no injuries after she hit a deer on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township at 5:38 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• Tyler D. Pahnke, 21, Shullsburg, reported no injuries after he hit a deer on Johnson Road in Shullsburg Township at 11:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• Kenneth A. Olson, 70, Warren, Ill., reported no injuries after he hit a deer on County W in White Oak Springs Township at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• Dustin J. Kobbervig, 33, Darlington, was taken by private vehicle to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for treatment of non-life threatening injuries he sustained in an ATV accident on the Cheese Country Trail in Gratiot Township at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. Kobbervig reported he was southbound when he hit a deer. The ATV turned sideways, and he jumped out as it began to roll over. The ATV sustained very minor damage and was driven from the scene. Kobbervig was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
