Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Brenetta E. Hall, 52, Freeport, reported no injuries from a deer vs. vehicle crash at 11:43 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, on Wis. 69 south of County FF in Monroe Township. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

No injuries and non-disabling vehicle damage were reported from the following deer vs. vehicle crashes Thursday, Nov. 7:

• John A. Trout, 72, Argyle, at 7:20 a.m. on Wis. 81 near Klondike Road in Jordan Township.

• Rebecca L. Novak, 40, Browntown, at 5:33 p.m. in the N4500 block of Wis. 69 in Monroe Township.

• Steven R. Guptill, 62, Monroe, at 7:01 p.m. on Greenbush Road west of County SS in Decatur Township.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Nov. 7:

• A one-vehicle accident involving a vehicle belonging to Thomas J. Staver of Scales Mound, Ill., was reported at 7:10 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township. The unidentified driver failed to negotiate a curve, left the road, went through a fence and struck an embankment, then left the scene. The incident remains under investigation.

• Sally J. Gorgas, 73, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs Township at 4:05 p.m.

• Brian J. Wiegel, 46, Darlington, reported hitting a deer on County E in Darlington Township at 5:10 p.m.

• Jerri L. Akins, 48, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer on Wayne Center Road in Wayne Township at 6:27 p.m.
