Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Wis. 59 and County FF in the Town of Sylvester. Deputies report Gary L. Brugger, 69, rural Monroe, was traveling north on Wis. 59, approaching the intersection of County FF. A second vehicle driven by Jonathan T. Sutherland, 17, Albany, was following Brugger on Wis. 59. Brugger activated his left turn signal, began to slow to turn west on County FF, when Sutherland began to pass Brugger. Sutherland struck the driver's side of Brugger's vehicle, causing moderate damage to it, and then struck a road sign. Sutherland's vehicle received severe damage. Drivers were wearing their seatbelts and the airbags did not deploy. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Sutherland was cited for passing a vehicle with its turn signal activated and was released with a court date.

- A vehicle driven by Nigel B. Tourdot, 16, Monroe, struck a deer at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday on County C, north of County N, in the Town of Washington. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The deer was deceased at the scene.

- A vehicle driven by Randall L. Smith, 55, South Wayne, struck a deer at about 6 a.m. Wednesday at Wis. 11 and County N in the Town of Monroe. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The deer was deceased at the scene.

- A vehicle driven by William D. Bredeson, 43, Darlington, struck a deer at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday in the W8300 block of Wis. 81 in the Town of Jordan. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. The deer was deceased at the scene.

- A vehicle driven by Mark S. Dickenson, 55, Brodhead, struck a deer at about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the W4200 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Jefferson. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. The deer fled the scene.

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle rollover at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on County F in the Town of Willow Springs. Deputies report Cassandra Schmitz, 16, Darlington, lost control of her vehicle, which then left the road and overturned. Schmitz sustained minor injuries. The Darlington Fire Department and Rural Medical Ambulance also responded.

- No one was injured in a one-vehicle rollover at about 7 p.m. Wednesday on Red Rock Road in the Town of Darlington. Deputies report Kayla Fitzsimons, 16, Darlington, lost control of her vehicle, which then left the road and overturned. The vehicle was towed.

- Keith Helfvogt, 30, Argyle reported striking a deer at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Argyle.

- Linda Lawfer, 50, Kent, Ill., reported striking a deer at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 11 in the Town of Gratiot.

- Joyce Fischer, 71, Blanchardville, reported striking a deer at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 81 in the Town of Lamont. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
