Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Kyle Thuli, 20, Darlington, was arrested for failure to maintain control of a vehicle, speeding, failure to report a traffic crash and not wearing a seat belt following an accident around 5:30 a.m. Friday on Spring Street and Merkle Korfe Lane. Police report his vehicle left the road and hit a tree. Thuli left the scene of the accident. A passenger in his vehicle, Patrick Halvorson, 19, Mineral Point, was cited for failure to wear a seat belt. The vehicle received extensive damage.

• Police are investigating an accident that took place around 5:15 a.m. Friday on Main Street at Minerva Street. Police report a vehicle left the road and went into a ditch. The driver left the scene. Anyone with information can contact the Darlington Police Department at 776-4981.

Monroe Police

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of 30th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by David C. Geiger, 50, Monroe, crossed the center line and hit a home owned by Anna Schneider. Geiger told officers he cut his left foot with a chain saw and was driving himself to Monroe Clinic when he passed out. He told officers he didn't receive any injuries due to the accident. His truck received extensive damage and the house also received extensive damage. Charges are pending.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 6:45 p.m. Friday on Sixth Avenue near First Street. Police report a tractor pulling a trailer and driven by Nathan N. Strahm, 61, Monticello, hit a parked vehicle owned by John Stenbroten, 81, Monticello. Stenbroten's vehicle received moderate damage.

• Police are seeking information about a hit and run reported around 6:15 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Second Street. Police report a vehicle owned by Pamela S. Watterson, 42, Monticello, was hit by a vehicle, possibly a trailer, which then left the scene. Anyone with information can contact the police department at (608) 527-2145.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 11:15 p.m. Saturday in the N4100 block of Wisconsin 59 in Sylvester township. Deputies' investigation revealed a vehicle operated by Racquel M. Farber, 38, Monticello, was northbound on Wis. 59 when Farber attempted a U-turn. The vehicle's tires dropped too far off the southeast shoulder, causing the vehicle to travel down an embankment and into a plowed field. As Farber attempted to exit the field, she struck a culvert. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Farber declined medical treatment for minor injuries caused by airbag deployment.

• Two people were transported to Monroe Clinic Hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a motorcycle versus deer crash around 8:45 p.m. Sunday on Wis. 81 west of County Y in Jordan township. A northbound motorcycle driven by Johnnie L. O'Bel, 38, Blanchardville was sideswiped by a deer. O'Bel and passenger Kelly L. O'Bel, 36, Blanchardville, were transported by Green County EMS. They were not wearing helmets. They were wearing eye protection. The motorcycle was removed from the scene.

• A second motorcycle versus deer crash around 8:45 p.m. Sunday on County M near County Y in Jordan township sent two people with non-life threatening injuries to Monroe Clinic Hospital ER. Robert W. Bechtolt, 47, South Wayne and passenger Alice L. Bechtolt, 43, South Wayne, were southbound on County M, when the motorcycle struck a deer crossing its path. Both people were thrown from the motorcycle. Neither was wearing a helmet; both were wearing eye protection. They were transported by Green County EMS. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.

• A vehicle driven by Marcia I. Scofield, 45, Albany, hit a deer around 9 a.m. Saturday in the W1400 block of County EE in the Town of Albany. The vehicle received moderate hood damage.

• A vehicle driven by Todd M. Long, 42, Brodhead, hit a deer around 8:30 a.m. Monday in the N300 block of County T. The vehicle received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Kenneth C. Greve, 23, Monroe, was arrested for drunken driving following a one-vehicle accident around 4 a.m. Saturday on County D in Wayne township. Deputies report he fell asleep and his vehicle left the road, hit an embankment and rolled over. Greve and two juvenile passengers were taken to Monroe Clinic for injuries. His vehicle was towed.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 6:15 p.m. Friday on Galena Street in Argyle. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Sandra L. Wallgren, 44, Argyle, crossed the center line and hit a parked vehicle after she passed out. She was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for injuries. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Wallgren was cited for failure to maintain control of her vehicle.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 10:45 p.m. Friday on Wis. 78 in Argyle township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Christopher C. Crooks, 17, Blanchardville, hit a deer. A 16-year-old passenger sustained injuries and was taken to Monroe Clinic. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. The Argyle Fire Department assisted at the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 8:45 a.m. Friday on County A in Shullsburg township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by John H. Gustavson, 60, Shullsburg, served to avoid an animal, left the road and hit a utility pole.

• A vehicle driven by Hillary K. Grant, 21, Blanchardville, hit a deer around 7:45 a.m. Monday on Wis. 78 in Blanchard township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
