Traffic Accidents: May 17, 2016

BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - On May 8, a hit-and-run was reported at 8:06 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street. The case remains under investigation.

On Friday:

• A 32-year-old Brodhead woman was cited at 11:32 a.m. for driving with a suspended license and without vehicle insurance and failing to yield for a yield sign after a traffic crash in the 1000 block of 14th Street.

• A non-reportable traffic crash occurred at 12:23 p.m. in the 1600 block of West 3rd Avenue.

On Saturday, no injuries were reported at 4:11 p.m. after a 26-year-old Brodhead woman backed into another vehicle. The woman was cited for unsafe backing.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - Three people sustained minor injuries at 3:57 p.m. Friday after Candace J. Walker, 68, Monroe, struck a vehicle driven by a 42-year-old Orangeville woman at the intersection of Wisconsin 69 and County Road Drive. Three occupants were transported to the Monroe Clinic for their injuries. Walker was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - No injuries were reported at 3:02 p.m. Wednesday after a vehicle struck a light pole at the New Glarus Culver's. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday:

• No injuries were reported after Patrick R. Tomasik, 62, Roselle, Ill., struck a deer on Wis. 69, Town of Monroe.

• Three people were injured at 4:21 p.m. after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Wis. 11 and Carnie Road, Town of Monroe. Chase W. Schulte, 17, Browntown, rear-ended the vehicle of Heidi L. Larson, 39, Monroe. Larson was injured but declined medical treatment. Schulte and his passenger, Devan R. Schulte, 15, Browntown, were injured and transported to the Monroe Clinic. Larson's vehicle sustained moderate damage, while the Schulte's vehicle sustained severe damage. Both were towed from the scene.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Saturday:

• A driver was injured at 2:25 p.m. after Carole L. Miranda, 64, Blanchardville, drove off the roadway and struck a house on Monroe Street in Argyle. Miranda was transported to the Monroe Hospital and was cited for driving while intoxicated (first offense). Her vehicle was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 6:45 p.m. after Louise E. McKichan, 67, Davis, Ill., backed a U-Haul into the vehicle of Donald D. Dodge, 70, Argyle on North Lake Road, Town of Argyle. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

• No injuries were reported at 8:30 p.m. after Stuart N. Vamstad, 64, Darlington, struck a deer on County F, Town of Darlington. Vamstad's vehicle sustained moderate damage.

• No injuries were reported at 9:32 p.m. after Alden P. Kilian, 82, Shullsburg, struck a deer on County O, Town of Shullsburg.
