MONROE - On Thursday:
Deputies came across a one-vehicle crash with minor injuries reported at 12:24 a.m. on County D and Feller Road, Exeter Township. The driver, Kendrick J Eichelkraut, 23, Monticello, told the deputies he was southbound negotiating a curve when he crossed the center line and entered the east shoulder. Eichelkraut then attempted to correct and the vehicle skidded across the roadway, hitting the embankment on the opposite side. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its wheels. The vehicle sustained overall moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Eichelkraut reported minor injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, third offense, and was cited for driving with a revoked driver's license, failure to maintain control and failure to notify law enforcement of an accident. He was jailed pending court. Online court records show Eichelkraut was convicted of DWI in January 2011.
Nicolette D. Blumer, 23, Albany, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 59 north of Dunphy Road, Town of Albany, at 6:09 a.m. Blumer was northbound on Wis. 59 when she lost control of her vehicle due to the wet roadway. The vehicle traveled off the roadway on the west side and down an embankment. The vehicle received moderate front and undercarriage damage and was towed from the scene.
Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash on Clarno Road south of Melvin Road, Clarno Township, at 2:47 p.m. Allison K. Hort, 19, Orangeville, was southbound on Clarno Road when her vehicle hit the rear-end of an illegally parked, unoccupied vehicle in the roadway. The vehicle is owned by Michael A. Bear, 49, Orangeville, who had parked his vehicle to go out and pick up some cans in the ditch. Allison's vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Hort was injured but refused medical treatment. Bear's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
