Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Tuesday at 14th Street and 14th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Gunnar J.R. Euler, 17, Pearl City, Ill., hit a vehicle driven by Marcia K. Sink, 44, Monroe. Euler was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending court.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 10 p.m. Tuesday in the N3700 block of County E in Decatur township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Amanda K. Fulton, 16, Brodhead, failed to negotiate a curve, went into a ditch, hit an embankment and came to rest in a field. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday on County D in Fayette township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Shannon K. Lawinger, 31, Blanchardville, left the road and hit a bridge after it lost power and veered to the right. Lawinger was taken by Rural Medical Ambulance to Upland Hills Hospital for injuries. Her vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. The Darlington Fire Department assisted at the scene.
