MONROE - On March 13:
No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 9:56 a.m. at the intersection of County T and Wis. 81 in the Town of Spring Grove. Amanda Cephas, 22, Beloit, was traveling eastbound on Wis. 81 when she attempted to turn south on County T. As Cephas began to turn, an equipment malfunction occurred which resulted in Cephas losing control of the vehicle and striking a traffic sign post. The vehicle had moderate damage and was towed.
On March 15:
No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash at 11:56 a.m. at the intersection of Wis. 69 and Aebly Road in Monroe. Lauren M. Palmer, 28, Monroe, was northbound on Wis. 69 attempting to turn west on Aebly Road when another northbound vehicle operated by Jamie J. Walker, 43, Monroe, attempted to pass Palmer on the right but struck Palmer's vehicle. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were driven from the scene.
On March 17:
Injuries were reported during a crash where the driver left the scene at 7:17 a.m. in the W6000 block of Hefty Road in the Town of Washington. An investigation revealed at about 2 a.m. Antonio A. Blades, 47, Monticello, was westbound on Hefty Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at County N. The vehicle continued westbound and left the road and struck some trees. Blades then left the scene. Blades was injured in the crash but declined medical attention. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed.Blades was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, deviating from lane of traffic and failure to notify police of motor vehicle crash. He was released pending court. Investigation also resulted in Dana R. Blades, 36, Monticello, being cited for knowingly assist a person fleeing an accident scene and not reporting the crash. She was released pending court.
On March 19:
A two vehicle crash with injuries was reported at 6:27 a.m. in the N3200 block of Wis. 81. Sandra M. Hubert, 50, Albany was northbound on Wis. 81 in the left lane. Kari L. Kobbervig, 33, Monroe, was also northbound in the right lane and attempted to do a U turn. Kobbervig's vehicle then collided with Hubert's vehicle. Hubert was injured in the crash and was transported from the scene. Kobbervig was injured in the crash and was also transported from the scene. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed. Green County EMS and Green County Fire also responded.
Injuries were reported during a motor vehicle crash at 9:48 p.m. in the N1700 block of Five Corner Road in the Town of Jefferson. Clayton A. Johnson, 32, Monticello, was traveling southbound on Five Corner road when he failed to maintain control. The vehicle entered the west ditch and overturned. The vehicle and the vehicle sustained disabling damage. Johnson seatbelt usage is unknown. Johnson was transported from the scene. Johnson was later arrested for OWI (1st offense). Johnson was also cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, operating after suspension, and failure to notify law enforcement of a crash. Johnson was later released to a responsible party pending a court date.
