Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Feb. 27:

♦ At 10:30 p.m. Feb. 24 the Green County Sheriff's Office received information of a crash that occurred in the N8300 block of County X, Town of Exeter. At about 8:30 p.m. that night Jessica A. Page, 29, New Glarus, was southbound when she failed to negotiate the curve and entered the ditch. Page reported that while attempting to remove the vehicle from the ditch she struck a road sign. Page then drove from the scene. Page was not injured in the crash. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. Page was cited for operating after revocation (criminal) and was released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle traffic accident at 6:29 a.m. on County K in Gratiot. Matthew S. Wylie, 30, Darlington, was traveling on County K when he encountered water over the roadway. While traveling through the water, Wylie's 1994 Chevrolet became disabled. Wylie's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed. Gratiot Fire Department and Gratiot First Response assisted.

♦ No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 7:31 p.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road in Belmont Township. Jim M. Vance, 40, Benton, was traveling on the icy road when his vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch, and struck a fencepost. Vance's 2011 Nissan sutsained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Feb. 23:

♦ No injuries were reported when Dennis A Popp, 66, Belmont, struck a deer at 6:46 p.m. on County I, New Diggings Township. Popp's 2010 Chrysler Town and Country sustained minor damage.

On Feb. 25:

♦ No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 9:58 a.m. on West Mound Road in Belmont Township. Sadie S. Pethel, 20, Mineral Point, was traveling on West Mound Road when her vehicle hit an icy patch, left the roadway and entered the ditch. The vehicle operated by Pethel sustained moderate damage and was towed.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Feb. 20:

♦ No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash at 1:05 p.m. in the 300 block of 5th Street. A 2004 Chrysler Sebring pulled up and stopped at the stop sign on 5th Street at 3rd Avenue. The operator of the vehicle then backed up due to the water over the road and struck a legally parked 2003 Toyota Camry. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
