MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported at 5:13 p.m. after Horacio Escobedo-Alanis, 32, Monroe, struck a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Albany man at the intersection of 11th Street and 12th Avenue. Escobedo-Alanis was cited for driving without a valid license and for failing to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

• A driver sustained minor injuries at 6:12 p.m. after Carol J. Tourdot, 79, Monroe, struck a vehicle driven by a 69-year-old Monroe woman at the intersection of 22nd Avenue and 9th Street. The 69-year-old woman declined treatment for her injuries. Tourdot was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday, no injuries were reported at 11:22 a.m. after Harry L. Turner, Jr., 86, Monticello, struck a garbage truck driven by Anthony R. Frank, 46, Delavan, after turning onto Wisconsin 81 from a Wis. 11 off-ramp. Turner was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign. His vehicle sustained moderate damage, while the garbage truck sustained minor damage. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported at 2:50 p.m. after Jeb E. Beck, 16, Albany, lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree after entering a ditch in the N5000 block of County E, Town of Albany. Beck was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 9:38 p.m. after Carol A. Komprood-Burke, 72, Darlington, struck a vehicle driven by Lisa A. Humphrey, 52, Round Lake Park, Ill., at the intersection of Wis. 69 and County C, Town of Washington. Komprood-Burke was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported after Kate L. Steuck, 29, Beloit, struck a deer in the N3900 block of Wis. 104, Town of Decatur.

On Sunday:

• No injuries were reported at 7:50 a.m. after Isaac P. Sigafus, 24, Monroe, lost control of his vehicle due to a flat tire, entered a ditch and struck an embankment in the N1800 block of Clarno Road, Town of Clarno. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 8:32 a.m. after Daniel J. Campbell, 32, Lena, Ill., entered a ditch and struck a utility pole at the intersection of County P and Dinges Road, Town of Clarno. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene, while Campbell left the scene on his own and was later contacted by sheriff's deputies. He was cited for inattentive driving, committing a hit-and-run and failing to notify police of a crash.

• A hit-and-run crash was reported at 5:22 p.m. in the W5200 block of County KK, Town of Monroe. A blue-colored Chevrolet Silverado truck reportedly struck a legally parked vehicle in a parking lot before fleeing the scene. LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Saturday:

• No injuries were reported at 4:55 a.m. after Joshua D. Cawthon, 28, Port Byron, Ill., struck a deer on County G, Town of Willow Springs. His vehicle sustained minor damage.

• A motorcyclist sustained minor injuries at 10:19 a.m. after a multiple-vehicle crash at the intersection of Wis. 81 and Otter Creek Road. Russell L. Carius, 61, Benton, rear-ended the vehicle of Robert E. Steger, 70, Darlington, who had slowed to make way for several motorcycles on Otter Creek Road. The collision caused Steger to enter the opposite lane, causing one motorcycle, driven by Joseph W. Corley, 56, Darlington, to swerve away into a ditch, where he was ejected from the bike. All vehicles involved sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene.

On Sunday, no injuries were reported at 2:50 p.m. after Tanya K. Ubersox, 46, Darlington, struck a deer on County F, Town of Seymour.
