Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Wisconsin 92 near Union Road in the Village of Brooklyn. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Daniel C. Geier, 49, rural Brooklyn, attempted to pull into an abandoned barn at the intersection. Geier threw out a cigarette, causing him to lose control and collide with the barn. The vehicle received moderate damages and was driven from the scene. Geier was cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle and operating left of center. He was released pending court.

n No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident in a parking area of an establishment in the Village of Browntown. Deputies were called to investigate at about 9 p.m. Wednesday and report a car owned by Aron L. Arn, 34, Browntown, was parked in the driveway when another unidentified vehicle backed into it. The unoccupied vehicle received moderate damage. The case remains under investigation.

n A vehicle driven Terry L. Kersten, 34, rural Albany, was southbound at about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday on Wis. 59 north of Meyers Road in the Town of Sylvester when a deer collided with his vehicle. The vehicle received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

n A vehicle driven by Susan J. Buetzer, 53, Browntown, was westbound at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 11 near Dill Road in Cadiz Township when a deer collided with her car. The car received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - Deputies responded at about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a motor vehicle accident in Benton township. A vehicle had left the road and entered a field. No one was found around the vehicle. The vehicle was towed, and the incident remains under investigation.
