New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 7 a.m. Sunday on Second Street and 14th Avenue. Police report a truck driven by Gregory Arendsee, 50, Baraboo, and a car driven by Angel M. Helland, 35, Monroe, collided. The vehicles received minor to moderate damage.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a motorcycle accident at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 59 near County X in Albany township. Deputies report a motorcycle driven by Dominic J. Vittone, 61, Janesville, overturned. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville for injuries. The motorcycle received extensive damage.

• A motorcycle driven by Milise S. Vetterli, 45, Juda, hit a dog at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the W3300 block of County F. Vetterli sustained injuries and was taken to Monroe Clinic. The motorcycle received moderate damage and was towed.

• Collin J. Moore, 20, Monroe, was arrested for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a one-vehicle accident at about 6 a.m. Saturday at County FF and Feldt Road. Deputies report his vehicle went through the intersection, through a barbed wire fence and into a field. He was released pending court.

• A vehicle driven by Judy F. Sherburn, 19, New Glarus, hit a deer at about 11 p.m. Friday in the W5700 block of County H. The vehicle received minor damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - A vehicle driven by William V. Cheatham, 26, South Wayne, hit a deer at about 5 p.m. Saturday on Mayer Road in Wayne township. Cheatham was injured but refused medical attention. His vehicle received moderate damage.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident reported at about 8 a.m. Saturday on County M in Wiota township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jose Ortiz Aburto, 23, Darlington, failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and hit an embankment and trees. Ortiz Aburto left the scene and later told deputies the accident happened at about 4 a.m. He was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control, driving without a license and failure to notify police of an accident. He was released pending court. His vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident reported at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The accident took place in the early morning hours on U.S. Highway 126 in Belmont. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Adam D. Booth, 28, Hazel Green, left the road, went into a ditch and hit a fence. Booth was cited for inattentive driving.
