Monroe Police
MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 17th Street and Wisconsin 69. Caryl K. Plantikow, 72, Monroe, was cited at 2 p.m. Saturday for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign after her eastbound vehicle hit a northbound vehicle at the intersection. Plantikow was released pending court.
Alex M. Capesius, 22, Monroe, was cited at 7:56 p.m. Sunday for failure to keep his vehicle under control after his vehicle hit a legally parked vehicle in the 1700 block of 17th Avenue. Capesius was uninjured, but both vehicles were severely damaged and were towed from the scene. Capesius was released pending court.

MONROE - On Friday:
Sandra L. Nelson, 53, Monroe, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash in the W8600 block of Wisconsin 11, Town of Cadiz, at 9:22 a.m. Nelson was westbound when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway and went into the ditch hitting a fence post. The vehicle was removed from the ditch by a tow service and then driven from the scene.
Daniel K. Lattin, 19, Browntown, was uninjured in a one-truck accident in the W6500 block of Patterson Road, Town of Clarno, at 2:28 p.m. Lattin was eastbound when he lost control of his truck and slid into a bridge railing and hit a sign. The Town of Clarno was notified about the damage to the bridge railing and sign. Lattin's truck was moderately damaged and was towed from the scene.
Elizabeth A. Clark, 16, Brodhead, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash in the N2400 block of County GG, Town of Spring Grove, at 5:15 p.m. Clark was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle in a curve causing the vehicle to hit the west ditch, then a mailbox and a line of trees before coming to rest in the ditch. The vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene.
Brian C. Malkow, 43, Brodhead, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident at the intersection of County F and County FF, Town of Decatur, at 5 a.m. Sunday. Malkow was northbound on County F when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle was moderately damaged and was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - A deputy was dispatched at 9:47 p.m. Friday, to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Wis. 11, Benton Township.
Phillip W. L. Kirschbaum, 26, Darlington, was arrested at 8:18 p.m. Saturday for driving after revocation following a one-vehicle accident on Silverthorn Road, Shullsburg Township. Kirschbaum sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. He was eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle in a curve due to the slippery roads and hit a tree. Kirschbaum jailed and then later released to a responsible party. His vehicle was severely damaged and was towed from the scene. Shullsburg police assisted at the scene.
On Sunday:
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Railroad Street, Village of Blanchardville, at 12:30 p.m. Joan R. McGowan, 76, Blanchardville, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Railroad Street and Maple Street and attempting to turn left when a vehicle driven by Trisha L. Wahl, 28, Blanchardville, backed into McGowan's vehicle. Both vehicles received damaged and were driven from the scene.
Teresa J. Logemann, 25, St. Paul, reported hitting a deer with her vehicle on Wisconsin 78, Gratiot Township, at 6:02 p.m.
New Glarus Police
NEW GLARUS - Minor injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue, Village of New Glarus. Dennis L. Funseth, 76, New Glarus, was cited at 1:42 p.m. Tuesday, for failure to yield right-of-way, after he was making a left-hand turn off of Wis. 69 onto 6th Avenue and turned into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Patti L. Wilhite, 41, Monroe. Both drivers sustained minor injuries. Both vehicles were severely damaged and were towed from the scene. New Glarus Fire Department, New Glarus Area EMS and Belleville EMS responded to the scene.
Kimberly K. Burton, 40, New Glarus, was cited at 3:24 p.m. Thursday for failure to notify police of an accident and driving too fast for conditions after police located her thanks to a partial plate number obtained by a witness. Investigation revealed Burton had lost control of her truck in the 200 block of 14th Avenue and hit two legally parked vehicles belonging to New Glarus Motors and then she fled the scene. Burton's vehicle was moderately damaged and not injured.
Marisa S. Coles, 28, New Glarus, was cited at 1:49 p.m. Friday for failure to notify police of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, driving without insurance and driving without a license after police stopped her for a hit-and-run accident in the 600 block of 2nd Street. Coles's vehicle hit a vehicle's rear quarter panel and then fled the scene. A witness followed Coles's vehicle and police then stopped her vehicle. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
