Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Tuesday, Feb. 18:

• Non-life-threatening injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash in the W7900 block of County C, Town of Adams. Brenda A. Springer, 50, Argyle, was eastbound on Puddlecock Road when her van traveled left of center and hit a pick-up traveling east. The pick-up was occupied by the driver: Randall A. Barr, 46, Argyle, and his passenger, Earl McCord Jr., 70, Argyle. Springer, Barr and McCord were all transported via EMS to the Monroe Clinic Emergency Room for injuries from the crash. All three were not wearing seatbelts. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Springer was cited for operating left of center, driving a vehicle without insurance and a seatbelt violation. Barr was cited for driving without insurance and a seatbelt violation. McCord was also cited for a seatbelt violation. All subjects were released pending court. Deputies, Monroe EMS and Argyle Fire and EMS assisted on the scene at 6:10 a.m.

• Bonnie L. Wilcox, 69, Belleville, was uninjured when her vehicle hit a legally parked vehicle owned by Robert D. Sauer, 59, Cross Plains, as Wilcox backed out of a private driveway in the N9100 block of Dohm Drive, Exeter Township at 9:11 a.m.

• No injuries were reported after a one-vehicle crash on Wis. 11 at Wis. 81. A vehicle operated by Jeffery J. Drye, 26, Monroe, was southbound when a vehicle operated by Christine K. Scott, 63, Browntown, was northbound on Wis. 81 and proceeded to make a left turn to the Wis. 11 westbound ramp. Scott failed to yield the right-of-way and pulled into the path of Drye's vehicle. Scott was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn and released with a non-mandatory court date. Drye was arrested on two failure to pay fine warrants issued by Polk County for non-registration of a vehicle and driving without a license. Drye was jailed pending payment of bond or transport to Polk County.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday, Feb. 18:

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on East Main Street, Village of Benton at 7:41 a.m. James W. Goffinet, 41, Benton, was backing his vehicle out and was unable to see a vehicle being driven by Sherie J. Goffinet, 38, Benton, when they collided.

• Rick L Busch, 48, Blanchardville, was uninjured after he lost control of his vehicle on Gould Hill Road, Town of Blanchard at 4:28 p.m. Busch was northbound when he lost control due to slush on the roadway. Busch failed to negotiate the curve, traveled across the roadway, down an embankment on the west side and his vehicle hit some trees. The vehicle was towed from the scene.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Timothy R. Goudy, 37, Monroe, was cited at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign following an accident on 20th Avenue and 5th Street. A vehicle driven by Goudy hit a vehicle operated by a 32-year-old female from Gratiot.
