Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday in the W800 block of Wisconsin 92. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Michael R. Tarala, 33, Brooklyn, left the road, hit a mailbox and went into a field after Tarala fell asleep. He was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and inattentive driving. He was taken to Monroe Clinic for injuries. Tarala was released pending court. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Mai Chou Xiong, 21, Eau Claire, was arrested for drunken driving and open intoxicants in a vehicle following a one-vehicle accident at about 12:15 a.m. Saturday on County F in Fayette township. Deputies report her vehicle left the road and went down an embankment. No further information was available.

• Victor J. Mendoza, 32, Platteville, was arrested for drunken driving, driving without a license and failure to maintain control of a vehicle following a one-vehicle accident at about 4:45 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 81 in Seymour township. He was jailed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:45 p.m. Friday on Otter Creek Road in Darlington township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by April M. Brandt, 16, Darlington, failed to negotiate a curve and hit a mailbox.

• A vehicle driven by Erin E. Green, 30, South Wayne, hit a deer at about 9:30 p.m. Friday on County Q in Seymour township.

• A vehicle driven by Tammy R. Scott, 48, Shullsburg, hit a deer at about 10 p.m. Friday on County Q in Seymour township.

• A vehicle driven by Francis E. Considine, 64, Darlington, hit a deer at about 10:15 a.m. Sunday on Woodberry Road in Lamont township.

• A vehicle driven by Nick R. Metz, 28, Darlington, hit a goat at about 11:15 p.m. Saturday on County Shop Road in Darlington township. His vehicle received minor damage.
