MONROE - Injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 2:05 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 11th Street and Wisconsin 69. Reports indicate that Ronald R. Gurschke, 75, Anitoch, Ill., was southbound on Wis. 69, turning left on 11th Street, when a vehicle driven by Gerald R. Runke, 65, Monroe, failed to yield right-of-way while on 11th Street and hit Gurschke. Gurschke, his passenger, Maryanne Swieca, 71, Monroe, and Runke were transported by to Monroe Clinic.Runke was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.

DARLINGTON - Injuries were reported during an ATV accident at 5:40 p.m. Friday on Cheese County Trail in the Town of Darlington. Reports indicate that Lauren E. Calicchio, 21, Chicago, failed to negotiate a curve, causing her to loose control. The ATV flipped and went into the Pecatonica River. A juvenile passenger received minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 7:22 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 81, west of Klondike Road, in the town of Jordan. Reports indicate that Gerard D. White, 27, Beloit, was traveling east on Wis. 81 when he encountered a milk can on the center line. White collided with the milk can, and then swerved left off the road, hitting a mailbox. The vehicle was towed from the scene. White was cited for no insurance and released.
