MONROE POLICE
MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:45 a.m. Thursday at Ninth Street and 12th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Samantha J. Siegel, 17, Monroe, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Jason A. Kerstad, 30, Monroe. Siegel was cited for following too closely and released pending court. Her vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. Kerstad's vehicle received moderate damage.

MONROE - James W. Ekenberg, 50, Mount Horeb, was arrested for second-offense drunken driving, failure to report an accident and failure to maintain control of a vehicle following a motorcycle accident at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday on Christen Road in Exeter township. Deputies report his motorcycle left the road and went into a ditch. Ekenberg then fled the scene. K-9 units from Green and Dane counties, along with the Belleville Police Department, searched the area. He was located after a lengthy search and was taken to University of Wisconsin Hospital by Belleville Emergency Medical Services. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.
