Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Geoffrey J. Stout, 56, Argyle, reported no injuries from a deer vs. vehicle collision that occurred at about 5:30 a.m. Friday, April 26, in the N4900 block of County M in Adams Township. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident in the N6000 block of Wisconsin 104 in Albany Township at 3:08 p.m. Friday, April 26. Russell D. Atkinson, 49, Brodhead, was southbound and slowing for a farm implement operating in the road when a southbound vehicle behind him driven by John L. Macke, 66, Albany, sideswiped Atkinson's vehicle before coming to rest in the ditch. Atkinson's vehicle sustained very minor damage. Macke's vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene. Macke was warned for inattentive driving.

• Andrew P. Lehnherr, 24, Monticello, and his passenger Sean L. Zimmerman, 24, Fall Creek, reported no injuries from a deer vs. vehicle collision on County CC about three-quarters of a mile north of Fahey Road in Exeter Township at 12:43 a.m. Saturday, April 27. Lehnherr's vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front driver's side quarter panel and door.

• Donald W. Pitman, 46, and his passenger Kimberly Ann Pitman, 41, both of Winslow, reported no injuries from a vehicle vs. ditch crash in the N700 block of Honey Creek Road in Clarno Township at 10:22 p.m. Sunday, April 28. He swerved to miss a deer in the road and hit the west ditch line. The vehicle sustained minor front and passenger-side damage and was driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 78 in Wiota Township at 1:09 p.m. Saturday, April 27. Daniel G. Langkamp, 60, Darlington, was driving a pickup truck northbound and pulling a trailer with a mounted storage tank. As he negotiated a curve, the tank began swaying and broke from the trailer. The tank began leaking anhydrous ammonia. Several agencies responded to help with the clean-up, including the Wiota Fire Department, Darlington Fire Department Haz-Mat Team, the Grant-Jo Daviess Haz-Mat Team, the Woodford Fire Department, Rural Medical Ambulance and Argyle Ambulance. Traffic was detoured from the area.

• Rafael Almanza, Jr., 26, Berwyn, Ill., was taken to Upland Hills Hospital in Dodgeville for treatment of non-life threatening injuries he sustained in an ATV accident on the Pecatonica State Trail in Belmont Township at 5:54 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
