DARLINGTON - On April 14:
A one-vehicle crash was reported at 4:53 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.Charles A. Felker, Jr., 21, Platteville, was cited for operating after suspension, traveling too fast for conditions, no insurance and possession of THC. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Platteville Fire and Southwest Health EMS also responded.
A one-vehicle crash was reported at 5:02 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township. Gary L. Johnson, 71, Peosta, Iowa, was traveling southbound when he lost control, entered the ditch and overturned. Johnson's 2001 Toyota sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Belmont Fire and EMS also responded.
A one-vehicle crash was reported at 5:16 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Benton Township. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
A one-vehicle crash was reported at 5:20 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township. Michael A Terlizzi, 20, Wauwatosa, was traveling southbound when he lost control and entered the ditch. Terlizzi's 2002 Saturn sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
A one-vehicle crash was reported at 6:39 p.m. on County E in Darlington Township. Amber E. Heagney, 17, Warren, Illinois, was traveling north when she lost control, crossed the center line and struck a bridge. Heagney's 2001 Hyundai sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Darlington Fire and Paramount EMS also responded.

BRODHEAD - A traffic crash was reported at 11:32 a.m. April 10 in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. No citations were issued.
A vehicle struck an animal in the roadway at 8:45 p.m. April 12 in the 1200 block of 25th Street.

MONROE - On April 14:
No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 2:26 p.m. in the W4800 block of County W in the Town of Exeter. Kaylee L. Levin, 17, Evansville, was driving a truck eastbound on County W when it failed to negotiate a curve. The truck went into the south ditch where it struck a mailbox. The vehicle continued eastbound in the ditch where it struck an embankment and went airborne. The truck came to a rest in the south ditch. The truck sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. The weather was a contributing factor (wet road and strong winds). The New Glarus Police Department assisted at the scene and the owner of the mailbox was contacted about the damage.
No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle crash at 9:19 p.m. in the N6300 block of English Settlement Road in Albany. The vehicle was traveling south when the driver lost control on the ice/slush covered roadway. The vehicle went left of center, into the east ditch, and then over a large culvert before striking several trees. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the entire driver's side, front, and under body; there was no airbag deployment. The reporting person stopped and spoke with the female driver. The unidentified female advised that she was going to meet with deputies, but the sheriff's office received no phone calls about the crash. The suspected driver was the registered owner of the vehicle, Kimberly A. Neuenschwander, 42, Evansville. Deputies left a message on her cell phone and checked several locations, but she was not initially located. Nearly two hours later, Neuenschwander called 911 to report the crash. She stated she was alone in the vehicle, was wearing her seatbelt, and was not injured. Neuenschwander was advised that she would receive citations for operating after suspension, too fast for conditions and failure to report a motor vehicle crash.

No injuries were reported during a single-vehicle crash, car vs. traffic sign post and utlity pole at 6:43 a.m. at Wis. 104 south of Wis. 59. The vehicle was southbound on Wis. 104 when it lost control, entered the ditch and struck a traffic sign. The vehicle then spun into a utility pole, snapping the pole in half before coming to rest. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. The driver, Kadyn C.A. Mason, 18, Orfordville, indicated that he was southbound on Wis. 104 when he was sucked into the ditch by the icy road conditions and the spoiler of his vehicle caught the traffic sign, which then spun him into the utility pole. Mason was cited for fail to keep vehicle under control. He was released with a court date and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
On April 16:
Injuries were reported during a car versus deer crash at 6:12 a.m. in the N3800 block of Wis. 69 in Monroe. Susan L. Reeve, 38, Monroe, was northbound when a deer entered the road and collided with her vehicle. Reeve declined medical attention. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle crash on Wis. 69 and Old Madison Road in New Glarus. Bobbi J. Mann, 31, Monroe was northbound on Wis. 69 when she collided with the rear of vehicle stopped waiting for oncoming traffic. The vehicle that was stopped waiting for oncoming traffic was operated by Nicole L. Banks, 36, New Glarus. Mann's vehicle sustained severe front end damage and was towed from the scene. Banks' vehicle sustained moderate rear end damage and was driver from the scene. Mann was cited for operating without a license, following too closely and operate a motor vehicle without proof of insurance. Mann was released pending court.

A car versus deer story was reported at 4:26 p.m. in the 1200 block of Elmer Road. Police arrived and the complainant advised that there was no damage to the vehicle and the deer had fled. No further action was taken.
