MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 6:45 a.m. Sunday on Wisconsin 11 near County N. Deputies report a vehicle driven by John Knautz, 20, Browntown, left the road and overturned. Knautz was taken to Monroe Clinic for non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.
No one was injured in a four-vehicle accident around 3 p.m. Friday at Wis. 11 and County GG. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Justin J. Everson, 20, Monroe, was hit by a vehicle driven by Karen S. Haas, 49, Freeport, Ill., as Everson's vehicle was turning on to County GG. Haas' vehicle then hit a vehicle driven by Courtney I. Sedbrok, 19, Brodhead, and a vehicle driven by Sarah J. Wachter, 67, Marshall. Haas' vehicle, Sedbrok's vehicle and Wachter's vehicle received moderate damage. Haas' vehicle was towed from the scene. Everson's vehicle was not damaged. Everson was cited for driving after suspension and released pending court.
Andrew A. Mudgett, 20, Argyle, was arrested for drunken driving, resisting arrest, driving too fast for conditions, open intoxicants and underage person transporting alcohol following a one-vehicle accident around 11 p.m. Saturday on Wis. 69 and Exeter Crossing Road. Deputies report Mudgett's vehicle failed to stop at the "T" intersection and hit a snow bank. New Glarus officers located Mudgett walking from the scene. A brief foot pursuit and struggle occurred before Mudgett could be detained. Mudgett was transported to the Green County Jail where he was held on a cash bond.
No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 2:15 p.m. Saturday at County J and County C. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Thomas L. McCrary, 37, Gratiot, had a mechanical problem that caused the vehicle to leave the road and hit a tree. The vehicle received minor damage and was towed from the scene. McCrary was cited for driving without a valid driver's license and released pending court.
A vehicle driven by Isreal Gonzalez, 25, Monroe, left the road and overturned around 4 p.m. Sunday on County N near Robey Road. Deputies are still attempting to identify passengers and extent of injuries. The vehicle received moderate damages.
A vehicle driven by Timothy A. King, 34, Argyle, hit a deer around 2:15 a.m. Friday on County A west of Wildlife Road. The vehicle received moderate damage.
A vehicle driven by Josef H. Lenherr, 56, Monticello, hit a deer around 2:30 p.m. Friday on Wis. 69 near County FF. The vehicle received moderate damage.
