MONROE - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 12:45 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of Pleasant View Nursing Home. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Margie W. Schilt, 80, Monroe, pulled out from a stop sign and was hit by a van driven by Marcus G. Venden, 28, Monroe. A passenger in Venden's vehicle, Mariah A. Hoffman, 7, Monroe, was taken to Monroe Clinic for possible injuries. Both vehicles received moderate damage.
• William P. Holland, 49, Monroe, reported at about 10:30 a.m. Friday that his vehicle hit a deer the prior evening. The vehicle received minor damage.
