MONROE - Three people were injured in a four-vehicle accident at about 6:15 p.m. Tuesday on Wisconsin 69 near Gutzmer Road in Washington township.
Deputies report a vehicle driven by Derek J. Larosh, 22, Monroe, was northbound on Wis. 69 when the vehicle crossed the center line. A southbound vehicle driven by Anne M. Ils, 31, Monroe, swerved to avoid Larosh's vehicle. Ils' vehicle went into the ditch and down an embankment. Ils' vehicle received minor damage.
A third vehicle that was also southbound and driven by Jennifer K. Buol, 19, Monroe, collided head-on with Larosh's vehicle. The vehicles spun onto the gravel shoulders of the road.
A fourth vehicle, driven by Gregory J. Frint, 54, Monroe, drove through the debris, which caused moderate damage to his car.
Buol, Larosh and a passenger in Larosh's vehicle, Lillian D. Norton, 1, Spring Green, had to be extricated from their vehicles. They sustained injuries. Buol and Norton were taken to the Monroe Clinic. Larosh was transported to the University of Wisconsin Hospital.
Buol and Larosh's vehicles received extensive damage and were towed.
The Monticello Police Department, Monticello Fire Department, Monroe Fire Department, Green County Emergency Medical Services and New Glarus EMS responded to the scene.
