Thomas A. Monigold, 82, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017, in Monroe, WI. He was born on November 21, 1934, in Freeport, IL, to Burdette and Kathryn (Young) Monigold. He graduated from West High School, Rockford, IL in 1952, and married the love of his life, Phyllis Ann Schult on August 30, 1953. Together, they raised 5 children faithfully in God's Word. He worked in the computer field most of his life, retiring from Sundstrand in 1996, after 20 years of service. Tom was a servant of God, and was instrumental in establishing and building Our Savior Lutheran Church in Freeport, IL, and later served as president and elder of New Life Lutheran Church in Rockford. IL.

Tom will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Phyllis, son David (Barbara) Monigold of Freeport, IL, daughters Beth Bangasser of Louisville, KY, Lisa (Mike) Chodorowski of Woodstock, IL, Diane (Mike) Rafferty of Las Vegas, NV, son Mark (Becky) Monigold of Davis, IL, his 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews too numerous to count. He is preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his sister Maris Gille.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 13, 2017, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1708 W 6th Ave., Brodhead, WI 53520. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 10:45 prior to the service. Pastor Gary Schult and Pastor Mark Neumann will officiate.
