June 20, 1979 ~ November 14, 2015
JANESVILLE, WISCONSIN
Tanya Lynn Johnson, 36, passed away early morning on November 14, 2015 in Monroe, WI after a lifetime battle with juvenile diabetes and ensuing complications.
Tanya was born June 20, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Footville, WI. She was the oldest daughter of Philip and Melva Johnson. She was a 1997 graduate of Parker High School in Janesville, WI., and a member of Orfordville Lutheran Church.
Tanya had a loving spirit that endured no matter what challenges she faced. She wrote poetry and was an avid reader. But probably her greatest joy in life was simply talking with friends and family, who she always had a story to tell.
Tanya was preceded in death by her mother, Melva; her sister, Angie; her paternal grandparents, Orville and Maxine Johnson and her maternal grandparents, Harry and Charlotte Culver.
Tanya is survived by her father, Philip; her sister, Tammy; her brother, Christopher; and many loving friends.
An added thanks to the many caregivers, nurses, and doctors who have helped Tanya over the years. And special thanks to staffs of the UW Health Transplant Clinic in Madison and the Monroe Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at Orfordville Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015, with Pastor Andy Twiton officiating. Burial will be in Orfordville Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. on Thursday until the time of service.
Newcomer-Silverthorn Chapel on the Hill, Orfordville, is in charge of arrangements for the family.
