Albany - Sylvia C. Schneeberger, age 91, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Woods Crossing Nursing Home, Brodhead. She was born on December 15, 1919 in Evansville, WI, the daughter of Royal and Marguerite (Colony) Clark. She married Edward Schneeberger on August 10, 1951 in Belleville, WI.
Sylvia briefly lived in Madison and Milwaukee before marrying Ed and moving to Albany, where she lived the remainder of her life. She attended beauty school and was a beautician for several years. She was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, WI. Sylvia loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved vegetable and flower gardening, canvas painting, especially landscapes, and was an avid card player.
She is survived by her husband Edward, Albany, a son, Norman (Carol) Hanson, Delafield, WI, two grandchildren, Kristin McDonald and Jennifer Hanson, and two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Kourtney McDonald. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Oliver, Charles, and Royal Clark.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, with Rev. Lawrence Balleine officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service. Memorials can be made to the church or the Albany Lion's Club.
