Shirley Anne Miller, 68 of Monroe, formerly of South Wayne, died Monday, February 6, 2012 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born on March 30, 1943 in her parents home in Winslow, IL. the daughter of Lloyd E. and Marian M. (Lelle) Retzlaff. Shirley graduated from South Wayne High School in 1961 and in 1962 she graduated from The Cradle, in Evanston, Illinois as an infant nurse.

Shirley married Keith S. Miller on October 24, 1964 in Monroe. Shirley farmed with her husband in Clarno township until moving to Monroe in 1969 to farm the Miller family farm until 1980. After retiring from the farm they moved to Monroe, she also worked at Swiss Colony until she retired in 2008 after 33 years. Shirley was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in South Wayne where she made quilts for Marian's Quilting Circle. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, quilting, camping and most of all texting her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Keith of Monroe; 3 children: Vicky (Delbert) DeNure of Argyle , Kurtis K. (Jeanie) Miller of Friendship, WI and Marcia (JR Kaderli) Miller of Brodhead, WI ; 7 grandchildren: Blade, Darrien, Taylor, Seth, Dorissa, Jarod ,Grant; a sister, Joyce (John) Pavelec of Friendship, WI; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in South Wayne with Pastor Dennis Perger officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, February 10, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr. and 18th Ave. A memorial fund will be established in Shirley's name.
