Ross L. Lancaster

Ross L. Lancaster, age 71 of Monroe, died on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the U.W. Hospital in Madison. He was born on May 12, 1944, the son of Charles F. and Ruth I. (Nelson) Lancaster. He was a 1963 graduate of Monroe High School. Ross and Elaine Zee were married on October 29, 1966 at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe. He worked for the Crandall Tire Company in Monroe. Ross was an avid L.A. Dodger fan and he enjoyed a good game of poker with his friends. But most of all Ross loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ross is survived by his wife, Elaine of Monroe; daughters, Kim (Kent) Meyers of Monroe, Joann Lancaster of Monroe, Amy (Tom) Fischer of Stillwater, MN; grandchildren, Mariah and Josh Richter, and Karina Fischer; brothers, Jerome (Lois) Lancaster of Middleton, Larry (Darlene) Lancaster of Monroe; also nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; brothers Gerald and Charles Lancaster.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church, with Rev. John Tabaka officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Ross's memory.
