Rose M. Cotherman
Rose M. Cotherman age 98 of Monroe, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Community Living Options, Monroe.
The youngest of six children, Rose was born November 28, 1913 in Washington Township, Green County, Wisconsin, to Ernest E. and Rose (Wittenwyler) Cotherman.
She attended Simmons Rural School, graduated from Monticello High School and Green County Normal School. Rose was a dedicated teacher for over 44 years. She taught 5th grade for 30 years at Shorewood Hills Elementary School in Madison before retiring.
Rose is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas and John J. Cotherman; three sisters, Florence Theiler, Leora Aeberhard, and Myrtle Wyss; and her lifelong companion, T. Chester Becker.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Voegeli-Newcomer Funeral Home, 360 S. Garfield St., Monticello. Pastor Ron Brubakken of Cornerstone Lutheran Church will officiate with interment to follow in Highland Cemetery, Monticello.
