Roger A. Pluss age 53 of Monroe died on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at U.W. Hospital in Madison. He was born on September 28, 1960 in Monroe, the son of John and Emogene (Marti) Pluss. He was a 1978 graduate of Albany High School. Roger and Cynthia Perkins were married on November 5, 2011 in Freeport, IL. He formerly worked for U.W. Madison in the custodial department. Roger was a member of the Crossroads Community Church and their prayer group. He enjoyed playing basketball and watching the Packers and Badgers sporting events. He also liked to play cards especially cribbage and enjoyed going fishing and riding his bike.
Surviving is his wife Cynthia Pluss; mother, Emogene Robieson; stepfather, Donald Robieson all of Monroe; brothers, Dave (Laura) Pluss of Albany, Randy (Kim) Pluss of Monroe; step-children, Jennifer (Wayne) Smith of Fitchburg, Jed (Carrie Davis) Jensen of Johnson City, TN, Jessica (Myron Hardy) Antinucci of Lake City, MN, James (Cathy) Antinucci of Monroe, SD; 6 step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his father and brother, Allan Pluss.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at the Crossroads Community Church, with Pastor Chuck Lynch officiating. A visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the Church. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery in Monticello at a later date. The Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral home is serving the family.
