GRATIOT - Robert "Bob/Herman" Hermanson, age 65 of Gratiot, WI passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was born August 22, 1948 in Monroe, WI; the son of the late Harold and Evelyn (Lersch) Hermanson. He was a 1966 graduate of Gratiot High School and had attended the University of Wisconsin in Platteville.
Herman had served in the US Army as an MP stationed at Fort Riley. He was Master of the Gratiot American Legion Post #0177. He was the owner of Murf's Bar in Gratiot. He enjoyed golfing with friends and was an avid Green Bay Packers, Badgers, and Cubs fan. Bob loved his family, especially spending time with his kids and grandkids.
He is survived by his longtime partner and friend, Jennifer Scott of Gratiot; son, Brett (Jennifer) Hermanson of South Wayne, WI; daughters, Stacey (Frank) Garcia of Dixon, IL and Heather Hermanson of Freeport, IL; six grandchildren, Paige and Mitchell Calow Isaiah and Delaney Hermanson, Breauna and Briasia Taylor; Jennifer's sons, Jason and Mark Scott and her grandson, Kaile; brother, William Hermanson of Monroe, WI; and sisters, Debbie (Larry) Winter of Monroe, Sue (Rich Lanz) Hermanson of Baraboo, WI, Janine (Jeff) Smith of Baraboo, Penny Bartosik of South Wayne, and Lisa (Dan) Gobeli of Browntown, WI.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jeffrey.
Bob's family will receive friends from 12:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, April 13 at the Community Center in Gratiot, WI. Please feel free to wear your favorite sports attire in honor of Bob. Following the reception, Herman would have liked for his friends to stop at Murf's for a toast. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Gratiot.
