Richard Eugene Clark was born to Robert and Ramona Clark in Monroe, WI on May 13, 1953. He joined two sisters, Roberta Corwin (Jack Holeton) of Davis and Ranee (Steve) Holmes of Edgerton, WI. He was later joined by another sister Ruthalie (Ray) Bordner of Rock City. He lived most of his life in the Davis area. Richard graduated from Dakota High School with the class of 1971. Although he gathered many loyal friends during his life, he preferred a life of solitude. His happiest times were spent in a canoe, either alone or with his favorite canoe partner, his daughter Justine (Jason) Truman of Broussard, LA. There was hope that he could someday take his granddaughter, Jolee, along also. But that was not to be. Diagnosed with cancer in 2000, he spent the remaining years of his life in repeated treatments. With seldom a complaint, he carried on with an amazing will to live. The family wishes to thank his many loyal friends who helped him in so many ways. Cremation rites were accorded. The will be no visitation or funeral, per his request. Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Dakota has assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial fund in his name has been set up at the State Bank of Davis.
