Ralph C. Wehinger age 84 of Monroe, Wisconsin died on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at his home. He was born on December 9, 1923 in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, the son Carl and Clara Mae (Lund) Wehinger and attended Porter School in Wiota Township.
Ralph and Margaret Reed were married on January 15, 1945 in Warren, IL and they farmed in the Warren, IL and Wiota Township area before moving to Monroe in 1969. Ralph then worked for The Swiss Colony, Kundert Oil Company, Martin Sport Shop, and Monroe Cab Company. He was a member of St. Victor Catholic Church in Monroe, Monroe Boat Club, Stateline Trailblazers Snowmobile Club, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #754. Ralph enjoyed hunting, dancing, bowling, farming, and riding Mopeds all his life.
Surviving are sons, Richard (Bev) Wehinger of Monroe and Larry (Cathy) Wehinger of Monroe; daughters, Jacky (Chuck) Miller of South Wayne and Carla (Bob) Ingalls of Chippewa Falls; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Margaret; brother, Kenneth Wehinger; sister, Viola Olson; and great-grandson, Andrew Ingalls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at St. VICTOR CATHOLIC CHURCH in Monroe with Fr. Michael E. Klarer, Fr. Gary Krahenbuhl, and Monsignor Thomas Campion Con-Celebrants. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Monroe.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe.
A memorial fund is being established in Ralph's memory.
