ALBANY - An Albany police officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries at about 7 p.m. Saturday in a two-vehicle crash.

According to the Green County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to Main Street near Water Street in Albany to investigate the crash.

The investigation determined an Albany Police Department car driven by Robert A. Ritter, 39, Albany, was heading west on Main Street when a second car operated by Josh E. Argo, 19, Monticello, conducted an unlawful U-turn in front of Ritter.

Ritter collided with Argo's car. Ritter and Argo both were wearing seat belts and airbags did not deploy.

Ritter received injuries, but refused medical treatment at the scene. Argo was not injured.

Both vehicles received moderate damage and were driven from the scene.

Argo was cited for unlawful U-turn in a business district and was released pending court.
