Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Mario Gonzalez-Vasquez, 32, Milwaukee, was arrested for a warrant issued by the Ozaukee County Sheriff Department for failure to appear at 2:19 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 following a stop for a moving violation in the W3500 block of Wisconsin 11 in the Sylvester Township. Gonzalez-Vasquez was also cited for criminal driving while revoked and for speeding. He was jailed pending transport to Ozaukee County.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - A Lafayette County Deputy assisted the Shullsburg Police Department with an altercation on Miner Way in the City of Shullsburg at 12:53 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19.

• A deputy is investigating a complaint concerning criminal damage to a property on Bridge Street in the Village of Gratiot at 2:11 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19.

• A deputy assisted the Darlington Police Department at 4:26 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 with a dog running at large on Hill Street in the City of Darlington.

• At 4:43 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, several Lafayette County Deputies and the Wisconsin DNR responded to several areas of the county for damage caused by storm. Benton Fire Department, Wiota Fire Department, Woodford Fire Department, Darlington Fire Department and Shullsburg Fire Department were paged to assist with downed power lines and trees throughout the county. The Lafayette County Highway Department also assisted with downed trees.

• A deputy responded to a report of a subject walking on the roadway on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township at 8:26 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. The subject was not located.
