Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, Oct. 24:

• Nathan B. Feldt, 18, Monroe, was arrested by Monticello Police on a charge of possessing THC with intent to deliver during a traffic stop at 11:55 p.m. on West Coates Avenue at North Main Street in Monticello. Officers stopped him for an equipment violation and detected a strong odor of raw marijuana. The Sheriff's Department K-9, Ike, located about four ounces of marijuana in the back trunk area of the vehicle. Feldt was jailed. He faces two Class I felony charges in Green County Circuit Court, one for marijuana possession and one for marijuana delivery. His signature bond is set at $2,000. His preliminary hearing is Nov. 28.

• Shane D. Riley, 26, New Glarus, was arrested at 2:01 p.m. at the Green County Justice Center on a probation warrant issued by the Department of Corrections. He was incarcerated.

• Cory J. Czechowski, 27, South Wayne, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded at 9:52 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash in the W8200 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Cadiz. Czechowski was westbound when he crossed the center line and side-swiped an eastbound vehicle driven by Tyler A. Plath, 19, Warren, Ill. Plath's vehicle become disabled in the middle of the road. Czechowski's vehicle continued westbound, struck a guard rail, went into the ditch and hit a utility pole. A passenger, Steven T. Czechowski, 22, South Wayne, claimed he was driving but it was later determined the older Czechowski was driving. Plath was uninjured. Both Czechowskis were injured; Steven was transported by EMS for treatment, and Cory declined treatment. Cory Czechowski was also cited for operating left of center, driving without vehicle insurance, failure to wear a seatbelt and driving with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Steven Czechowski was cited for obstructing an officer. Both vehicles were severely damaged and towed.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Cecilia Zepeda, 18, Monroe, was arrested in the 2200 block of 11th Street at 1:37 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, on an outstanding warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department for driving while intoxicated. She was jailed.

• Jessica L. Fassbinder, 23, Galena, Ill., was cited for failure to yield right-of-way at a stop sign at 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, after police responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at 9th Street and 17th Avenue. Fassbinder collided with a vehicle driven by Jessica R. Dietzman, 22, Browntown.

• A complaint about a stinky, overflowing dumpster outside a residence in the 600 block of 16th Avenue was referred to police by the Green County Health Department at 9:08 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23. The smell was reportedly attracting area cats. The garbage company told police the property owner had not paid for the container to be emptied. Police made arrangements for the company to remove the garbage and bill the property owner.

• An anonymous caller complained at 12:12 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, about a plugged-in and unsecured refrigerator sitting outside a residence in the 1900 block of 11th Avenue. This is a violation of code, as a child could get trapped inside the appliance. Police notified the owner to remove the fridge, and the owner complied.

• A mother called police at 12:34 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, to report an incident of harassment that occurred at Monroe High School between her daughter and the daughter's ex-boyfriend, both 18. The ex-boyfriend reportedly yelled at the daughter, a student. Police located the ex and warned him to behave.

• A sick cat seen in the area of 14th Avenue at 12th Street was reported at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23. An officer found the cat but couldn't get near the animal since it ran off. The Green County Humane Society was notified.

• Police are investigating a report of child abuse taken at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, in the 600 block of 20th Avenue.

• A caller reported at 12:43 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, that a large dog was left alone in a pickup truck with the windows rolled up in the parking lot of Walmart, 300 6th Ave. W. Police located the vehicle and saw the dog had water but was panting. Walmart paged for the owner in the store, and the owner came out and rolled down a window.

• On Thursday, Oct. 25, the Monroe Police Department conducted a sweep for any illegal drugs at Monroe High School, Monroe Middle School and Monroe Alternative Charter School. K-9 units from eight area law-enforcement agencies assisted in sniffing out potential drugs in the buildings and parking lots. During the exercise, each building went into lockdown mode and students were barred from entering or leaving.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Oct. 24:

• William R. Pollock, 21, Belleville, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and violating his probation and parole at 2:05 p.m., after a deputy responded to Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Seymour for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Pollock was jailed.

• Bryttany K. Biesemeier, 20, South Beloit, Ill., was cited at an unspecified location at 12:07 a.m. for driving without a license.

• John M. Trava, 23, Winnebago, Ill., was cited for driving with an expired vehicle registration at 7:32 a.m. on Wis. 23 in the Town of Darlington.

• Courtney M. Hicks, 21, Apple River, Ill., was cited for speeding at 9:15 a.m. on Wis. 78 in the Town of Gratiot.
