MONROE - On Sunday, Nov. 3:

• A small white dog running loose was reported at 12:29 a.m. in the area of 9th Street and 29th Avenue. Its owner was located camping at the nearby fairgrounds.

• A 911 caller at 12:25 p.m. reported dangerous debris on Wis. 69 at 8th Street. By the time police arrived, a citizen had stopped and removed the debris to the side of the road.

On Monday, Nov. 4:

• A man came into the police station at 10:57 a.m. to ask police if they would go to a residence in the 1900 block of 9th Street to see if a truck he was owed in a civil court case was parked there. Police advised him to do it himself since it is a civil case and no breach of peace was anticipated.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 4:36 p.m. at Kwik Trip, 1019 9th St. Police gave the driver's name and address to the store so the driver could be billed.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Joshua C. Broge, 25, rural South Wayne, was cited for driving with a revoked license and no vehicle insurance, failing to maintain control of a vehicle, failing to notify police of an accident, non-registration of a vehicle, displaying a false registration and hit-and-run on property adjacent to a highway after deputies investigated a one-vehicle crash in the W9100 block of County MM in Cadiz Township discovered at 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3. The driver, later identified as Broge, was westbound and lost control on a curve. The vehicle hit a wooden post and went down an embankment. Broge then fled the scene. The vehicle was severely damaged, towed and impounded.

• Maura Mejia, 42, Beloit, was cited for driving without a license, second offense within three years, after a deputy stopped her in the W1100 block of Wis. 11 in Spring Grove Township at 4:07 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5:

• Brandon L. Stokes, 21, Belleville, was cited for possession of marijuana (25 grams or less), possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding at 4:33 a.m. on Wis. 69 near Abels Road in Monroe Township.

• Cristian O. Hernandez-Molina, 30, Fitchburg, was cited for driving with a revoked license after a deputy responded to a deer vs. vehicle crash at 6:18 p.m. on Wis. 104 at King Road in Brooklyn Township. A deer ran into the road as Hernandez-Molina drove southbound, causing moderate damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was driven from the scene.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Monday, Nov. 4:

• A disturbance between several people was reported at 2:29 a.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg. Deputies and Darlington police responded to the scene but located no one in the area.

• Kerry R. May, 44, Mineral Point, was transported at 7 a.m. to Dodge Correctional Institute in Waupun.

• Ronald E. Kay, 64, South Wayne, was cited at 8:35 a.m. for allowing a dog to run at large on South McKnight Street in South Wayne.

• Neri M. Amaya-Perea, 29, Darlington, was cited for speeding and driving without a license at 10:39 a.m. on County U in Seymour Township.

• A deputy responded to the Shullsburg Schools on Judgement Street at 3:12 p.m. for a welfare check on a juvenile.

• Gelicia L. White, 24, Shullsburg, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 3:30 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• A deputy responded at 6:30 p.m. to a hit-and-run accident on East South Street in South Wayne. A vehicle hit a tree, then drove off. The deputy was able to follow a trail of leaking vehicle fluid several blocks and found the abandoned vehicle parked in a public parking lot. No driver was located. The vehicle was impounded, and the accident remains under investigation.

• A 911 caller at 8:35 p.m. reported a disturbance in the area of West Harrison Street in Shullsburg. A responding deputy did not locate anyone in the area.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5:

• Stephen D. Sporle, 41, Mineral Point, as taken into custody on County F in Fayette Township at 1:48 a.m. on a warrant issued by Iowa County. He was taken to the Iowa County Jail. Darlington police assisted at the scene.

• Criminal damage to property was reported at 10:22 a.m. on Railroad Street in Benton.
