MONROE - Matthew P. Coyle, 32, Monroe, was arrested on a warrant at 6:09 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the 1600 block of 13th Street. He was jailed.
On Wednesday, Oct. 30:
Property maintenance issues and abandoned vehicles were reported at 10:12 a.m. at a residence in the 2200 block of 6th Street.
A bag of live, illegal firecrackers was found at 10:33 a.m. in the 700 block of 11th Street. Police destroyed them.
A cat who continually runs at large in the 1800 block of 20th Street Court was reported by the owner's neighbor at 12:43 p.m. Police left a message for the cat owner.
Police responded to a complaint at 3:45 p.m. of a vendor selling meat door-to-door in the 700 block of 10th Street, but did not locate the person.
One group of teens swearing at another group of teens while they all walked near Monroe High School was reported at 4:33 p.m. The school was following up on the incident.
A tenant in an apartment complex in the 2700 block of 8th 1/2 Street called police at 6:53 p.m. with a complaint that another tenant's children were being loud. The other tenant was warned.
The egging of a house in the 1700 block of 17th Street was reported at 10:15 p.m. Police spoke with the offenders and their parents.
On Thursday, Oct. 31:
A purse was reported lost at 8:05 a.m. in the 1600 block of 12th Avenue.
Police were requested at 9:14 a.m. to assist Green County Human Services with an interview in an investigation of an alleged child abuse case.
A 16-year-old Browntown boy was taken into custody at 12:49 p.m. and referred to Juvenile Intake for shoplifting miscellaneous items, including the filter out of a coffee pot, from the Lucky 7 gas station, 710 21st St.
A caller in the 1600 block of 28th Avenue reported at 1:41 p.m. she was having a dispute with her ex-boyfriend over some property of hers he still has. They were also arguing over an exchange of text messages. Police told them to work it out.
A semi driver reported an ongoing dispute he was having with another semi driver at 1:51 p.m. He said they've been arguing over CB radio and the other driver won't leave him alone. Police met with him at West 17th Street and 4th Avenue and tried to follow up with the other driver, but have not as yet received a response.
A construction trailer left parked on the street in the 2800 block of 16th Street was reported at 2:06 p.m. The owner was advised to move it or get it barricaded.
An intoxicated man called 911 at 7:04 p.m. from a tavern in the 1300 block of 17th Street to report bruises on a bartender. He was asked to leave the bar because the bruises "were none of his business." Police took no action.
On Friday, Nov. 1:
Vandalism was reported at 5:52 a.m. in the 900 block of 31st Avenue. A mailbox had been knocked off its post.
A resident in the 2700 block of 8th 1/2 Street called 911 at 7:37 a.m. to report that the door was ajar on a neighbor's vehicle. The resident suspected a car break-in, but upon police inspection, a stuck seatbelt was keeping the door from shutting properly.
Two slashed tires on a vehicle in the 1700 block of 17th Street were reported at 10:41 a.m.
A 911 misdial was received at 12:08 p.m. from the 100 block of West 8th Street.
A dispute between a husband and wife was reported at 12:36 p.m. in the 700 block of 12th Avenue. She called police because he was not getting up and looking for a job.
Police responded at 4:16 p.m. to a 911 hangup tracked to an apartment complex in the 300 block of 3rd Street and checked with each apartment but did not locate an emergency.
A 13-year-old boy who was overdue at home was reported by a parent at 4:34 p.m. in the 1000 block of 12th Avenue. He returned home an hour later.
A woman's ring was reported lost at 7:10 p.m. in the 100 block of West 8th Street.
On Saturday, Nov. 2:
A 911 caller at 1:26 p.m. reported a fender bender in the Walgreen's parking lot in the 700 block of 8th Avenue. There were no injuries from the accident.
A 17-year-old girl was reported at 6:34 p.m. as a runaway from a group home in the 1700 block of 15th Street. Police have leads on her whereabouts.
Unmowed grass and weeds in front of a vacant house in the 2000 block of 11th Avenue were reported by a neighbor at 9:11 p.m. Police sent a warning notice to the registered owner of the property.
