ALBANY POLICE

ALBANY - Fritz C. Sandlin, 37, Albany, was arrested Saturday on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated and with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Sandlin was also cited for speeding.

On Sunday:

• Lawrence A. Pfaff, 29, Albany, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

• David J. Ulma, 61, Albany, was arrested on a charge of domestic disorderly conduct.



BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of Oct. 25 to Oct. 31, there were 127 calls for service, 27 citizen assists, 21 security checks, 14 registrations, seven assists of other agencies, seven 911 calls, four EMS calls, three fire calls and two traffic stops.

On Oct. 25:

• Pumpkins were smashed at 12:27 a.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• A Halloween decoration was discarded in the roadway at 1:28 a.m. in the 1100 block of East 4th Avenue.

• Discarded solar lights were found at 1:38 a.m. in the 1300 block of East 3rd Avenue.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 8:49 a.m. in the 700 block of East 4th Avenue. The bicycle was located and returned to its owner.

• A pumpkin was smashed at 9:02 a.m. at the intersection of 8th Street and East 3rd Avenue.

• A bottle was thrown through a window at 9:54 a.m. in the 900 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police are seeking an individual to question.

• Broken beer bottles were reported at 10:16 a.m. in the 800 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• Juveniles riding a lawn mower in the street were reported at 6:48 p.m. in the 500 block of East Exchange Street. Responsible parties were notified and the matter was resolved.

On Oct. 26, a burning violation was reported at 12:35 p.m. in the 2000 block of West 5th Avenue. An individual who was burning leaves was issued a warning.

On Wednesday, a 21-year-old Brodhead man was arrested at 5:15 p.m. in the 600 block of 9th Street for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery.

On Thursday, a 22-year-old Monroe man was arrested at 7:10 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street for domestic disorderly conduct.

On Friday:

• A burning violation was reported at 12:52 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. An individual who was burning leaves was issued a warning.

• A 22-year-old Beloit man was arrested at 8:57 p.m. in the 1900 block of 1st Center Avenue for a probation violation.



MONROE POLICE

MONROE - On Saturday, Antoine Gibson, 17, Los Angeles; Austin T. Lawson, 18, Freeport; and Jamie L. Sabin, 19, Freeport, were arrested at 12:28 a.m. in the 2000 block of 12th Street for possession of marijuana. The three were released pending court.

On Sunday, Allen S. Bechtolt, 31, Monroe, was arrested at 1:33 a.m. in the 1300 block of 17th Street for bail jumping, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal damage to property. Bechtolt was jailed pending court.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On Oct. 26:

• A custody dispute was reported at 1:36 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.

• A complaint about an illegally parked truck was made at 3:16 p.m. on Hoesly Drive. The vehicle was gone by the time police investigated.

• Concrete debris was reported at 4:55 p.m. in a park in the 100 block of 4th Avenue. Police investigated and removed the debris.

• An animal complaint was made at 5:22 p.m. in the 400 block of 4th Avenue. Police investigated the residence and found nothing wrong.

• Enos D. Showalter, 67, South Wayne, was cited at 7:47 p.m. in the 1000 block of Wisconsin 69 for driving without vehicle insurance after being stopped for a speeding violation.

• Paul R. Cate, 79, Belleville, was cited at 9:52 p.m. in the 200 block of County W for driving without a valid license.

On Oct. 27:

• Police checked an individual's welfare at 2:20 p.m. in the 300 block of Heidi Court. The individual was found to be fine.

• A parking complaint was made at 5:24 p.m. at a business in the 100 block of 6th Avenue.

• A possible theft of a camera was reported at 7:12 p.m. at a residence in the 500 block of 14th Avenue.

• A possible burglary was reported at 9:56 p.m. in the 400 block of 4th Avenue. There are no suspects at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

• Randy A. Righter, 37, New Glarus, was cited for an open intoxicant at 11:03 p.m. in the 200 block of 5th Avenue after police investigated a 911 call made in error.

On Wednesday:

• Trespassing to a vehicle was reported at 7:24 a.m. in the 100 block of 2nd Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.

• Police assisted a citizen at 10:17 a.m. in locating a possibly stolen vehicle. The vehicle was returned and the matter was found to be civil in nature.

• A traffic hazard was removed at 6:06 p.m. from the 100 block of 6th Avenue.

• Police checked an individual's welfare at 8:49 p.m. in the W4000 block of County W. Green County deputies assisted on scene.

On Thursday:

• A dog at large was reported at 4:50 p.m. near the intersection of 11th Avenue and Wis. 69. The dog was captured and turned over to the Green County Humane Society.

• Police helped a citizen unlock a vehicle at 6:07 p.m. in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

On Friday:

• A complaint of vandalism was made at 9:46 a.m. in the 10 block of 1st Street. It was found that an unknown suspect had spray-painted graffiti on a piece of equipment.

• A disabled delivery truck was reported at 6:17 p.m. in a parking lot in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• A complaint of an individual being disorderly with a laser pointer was made at 12:45 p.m. in the 10 block of 6th Avenue. The offender was issued a warning.

• Police assisted a Belleville officer at 11:19 p.m. with apprehending a vehicle that had attempted to elude the officer in Belleville.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:47 p.m. in the 500 block of 12th Avenue. The vehicle was eventually located. Green County deputies assisted on scene.

On Saturday, police assisted a citizen at 5:05 p.m. with questions about a child custody issue.

On Sunday, an injured deer was reported at 9:57 a.m. in the 1200 block of Elmer Road. The animal was euthanized and a resident claimed the carcass.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - Kyle J. Ghostley, 34, Brooklyn, was arrested at 7:31 p.m. Saturday on a probation warrant in the Village of Brooklyn. Ghostley was jailed.

On Sunday:

• Ryan E. Scheider, 32, Orangeville, was cited at 12:56 a.m. in the N1800 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno, for driving without a valid license. Scheider was released pending court.

• Richard D. Thomas, 31, Albany, was arrested at 4:25 p.m. at a residence in the N2300 block of Brodhead Airport Road, Town of Spring Grove, on a charge of physical abuse of a child. Thomas was jailed pending court. Brodhead Police assisted on scene.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Criminal damage to a stop sign was reported at 6:24 a.m. on Gilbertson Road, Town of Fayette.

• Animal neglect was reported at 7:31 a.m. on Knee Deep Road, Town of New Diggings.

• Criminal damage to a mailbox was reported at 8:59 a.m. on Owego Road, Town of Wiota.

• A deputy helped unlock a vehicle at 1:58 a.m. on Richardson Lane, Town of New Diggings.

• An erratic driver was reported at 2:25 p.m. on Mine Road, Town of Elk Grove. The complaint was unfounded.

• An erratic driver was reported at 2:56 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove. The complaint was unfounded.

• A civil dispute was reported at 3:35 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 4 p.m. on Mineral Road, Town of Shullsburg.

• Spencer T. Hocking, 26, Benton, was transported at 5 p.m. from the Dane County Jail to the Lafayette County Jail on a valid warrant.

• An erratic driver was reported at 6:03 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. The complaint was unfounded.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:13 p.m. on Pleasant View Lane, Town of Belmont.

• Cole R. Chapin, 23, Argyle, was cited at 8:38 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

On Saturday:

• Ashley Crist, 28, Blanchardville, was cited at 2:49 a.m. on South Main Street in Blanchardville for disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Crist was jailed.

• An animal in the roadway was reported at 3:51 a.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard.

• A traffic complaint was made at 9:14 a.m. on New Line Road, Town of Kendall.

• Police helped unlock a vehicle at 9:21 a.m. on Gravel Run Road, Town of Lamont.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:30 p.m. on Temple Avenue in Benton.

• Justin R. Crist, 32, Blanchardville, was arrested at 6:33 p.m. on South Main Street in Blanchardville on a Sauk County warrant and was transported to the Lafayette County Jail. Crist remains in custody.

• A deputy checked an individual's welfare at 8:47 p.m. on West Dobbs Road, Town of Lamont.

• Threats of injury were reported at 8:57 p.m. on East High Street in Shullsburg.

• Zachary Gerlach, 20, Tampico, Ill., was cited at 9:55 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 23, Town of Shullsburg.

• A noise complaint was made at 11:44 p.m. on North Mound Avenue in Belmont.

On Sunday:

• A civil dispute was reported at 10:14 a.m. on North Lincoln Street in Cuba City.

• A residential alarm was triggered at 3:30 p.m. on Prairie Road, Town of Seymour.

• Deputies checked an individual's welfare at 4:56 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 6:54 p.m. on First Street in Benton.

• Harassment was reported at 10:37 p.m. on North Park Street in Belmont.
