Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Two people were cited for traffic violations in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue at 7:46 a.m. Friday, May 17. Julie R. Schilling, 42, Brodhead, was cited for failure to yield. Maria I. Adorno Villalva, 33, Beloit, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance.

• Carla S.N. Rodriguez, 28, Fort Atkinson, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 6:31 p.m. Friday, May 17, in the 200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• Cassandra A. Rupprecht, 21, Janesville, was cited for speeding at 6:50 p.m. Friday, May 17, in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

• Joseph T. Clark, 21, Monroe, was cited for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle at 8:41 p.m. Saturday, May 18, in the 500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - Brent Wiettenhiller, 36, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving an ATV while intoxicated at about 1:55 p.m. Saturday, May 18, following a traffic stop on Main Street. He was released pending court.

• Rodimiro Gutierrez-Santacruz, 22, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license (fourth or greater offense) at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday, May 18, following an incident on East Cornelia Street.

• David Zavaleta-Dominguez, 21, Darlington, was cited for driving without a valid license at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday, May 19, following a traffic stop on Keep Street.

Monroe Police

MONROE - On Friday, May 17:

• Adam D. Fiorucci, 25, Monroe, was arrested at 11:09 p.m. in the 2400 block of 10th Avenue on a charge of violating a restraining order. He was jailed pending court.

• Jason R. Atkinson, 19, Jonathan R. Becker, 19, Joel L. Henry, 18, and Bryce M. Messerli, 19, all of Monroe, were cited for underage drinking after police responded to a complaint at 2:45 a.m. of people making noise on the Monroe Country Club golf course. Officers observed some in the group run and throw stuff when they saw police arrive. Atkinson and Henry were also cited for obstructing an officer.

• Jesse J. Evans, 30, Monroe, was cited for operating an ATV off the designated route at 12:33 p.m. at 11th Avenue and 18th Street, after police responded to a complaint.

• Colin J. Pehl, 18, Juda, was cited for underage drinking and throwing missiles from a moving vehicle after police responded at 9:52 p.m. to a 911 call reporting eggs were being thrown from a vehicle in Twining Park.

• Police took a report at 1:36 a.m. that unknown vandals knocked over potted plants outside a residence in the 300 block of North 13th Avenue, causing the contents to spill out.

• A person flagged down an officer at 4:01 a.m. in the 1000 block of 8th Street to report a dog running loose. The dog was taken to the Green County Humane Society and later claimed by its owner.

• Several children at a bus stop in the 500 block of West 21st Street were warned to behave after a mother reported them at 7:34 a.m. for arguing, threatening each other and swearing at her when she told them to quit.

• A 2-year-old boy walking alone in the 600 block of 20th Avenue was reported at 7:55 a.m. by a passerby. The boy was only wearing a diaper and shirt. A neighbor said he belonged to a nearby resident. When officers knocked there, the boy's mother said she was napping and the boy escaped from the basement. She blamed the incident on her landlord who wouldn't put a new door on her residence. Police referred the case to Green County Human Services.

• Police were called at 10:56 a.m. to corral a resident at Monroe Manor Nursing & Rehab, 516 26th Ave., back into the nursing home after he walked out and was refusing to go back inside.

• An unruly 8-year-old boy was reported at Northside Elementary School at 11:02 a.m. He was turned over to a family member.

• An officer on patrol saw three young people smoking in an alley behind Turner Hall at 11:24 a.m. One person in the group, a 16-year-old Monroe boy, was cited for underage possession of tobacco.

• A property owner in the 2300 block of 8th Avenue was warned at 11:33 a.m. after police responded to a complaint of unmowed grass and dead shrubs piled up in the yard. The property owner has one week to take care of the yard.

• A caller at 1 p.m. reported that the night before in East School Park, an unleashed dog jumped up on a woman and her daughter, leaving the woman with scratches.

• People in Twining Park were warned at 1:48 p.m. for parking their mopeds on the grass.

• A tame parakeet was found in Monroe by street department workers and reported to police at 2:36 p.m. The bird is being cared for at a vet. To claim, call dispatch at 608-329-2400.

• Four adults and two school-aged teens were warned at 4:54 p.m. not to be on the newly installed playground equipment in Lincoln Park, because the playground is still under construction.

• A caller at 5:46 p.m. reported seeing a man in the 1100 block of 11th Avenue pull his dogs up by the leash so hard that their front legs were off the ground. Police warned him to be more careful.

• A 15-year-old boy was reported at 8:21 p.m. as a runaway from the 700 block of 18th Avenue. He returned home later that night. The case was referred to Juvenile Intake.

• Police responded at 10:23 p.m. to a complaint of an outdoor party with fireworks in the 1400 block of 13th Avenue. The revelers were warned.

• Police responded to a noise complaint at 11:03 p.m. of people in Twining Park. When the people were located, they said they were leaving anyway.

On Saturday, May 18:

• People racing lawnmowers in the 2000 block of 11th Avenue were warned to stop after police responded to a 12:13 a.m. complaint.

• Police responded at 9:38 a.m. to a complaint of an unmowed lawn at a foreclosed home in the 1100 block of 12th Street. The owner was notified to take care of it.

• Police responded to a domestic dispute at 11:47 a.m. in the 1500 block of 7th Street. An elderly woman complained that a family member who lives with her invades her personal space by turning off her TV. He countered that she doesn't bathe properly and leaves her TV on all night. No one was cited or arrested. She told police she plans to move out.

• A caller at 1:08 p.m. reported people were burning firewood in a charcoal grill in the 100 block of 14th Avenue. The grill was flaming and spitting. An officer made them put it out.

• A notice was left for a property owner in the 2900 block of 10th Street to mow the lawn after police responded at 1:34 p.m. to a citizen's complaint.

• A 4-year-old boy was reported missing at 3:40 p.m. from a residence in the 2800 block of 16th Street. The search was called off when he was found sleeping in the basement.

• A person was warned at 6:41 p.m. for having a dog in Twining Park.

• Keys were reported lost or stolen at 8:12 p.m. from the area of 13th Street and 25th Avenue.

On Sunday, May 19:

• A kitten was found at 10:02 a.m. in the 2000 block of 13th Street. It bit the woman who captured it and was taken to the Green County Humane Society to be quarantined.

• A squirrel with an arrow sticking out of it was reported at 10:08 a.m. in the 1200 block of 21st Street.

• A woman was warned not to send text messages to a female coworker, after police responded to a complaint at 1:10 p.m. in the 2300 block of 13th Street.

• Three recently installed light fixtures at the band shell in Twining Park were discovered smashed out at 3:34 p.m. Police contacted the parks department to replace the lights.

• An officer recovered a flag that blew off a pole outside a building in the 1600 block of 4th Avenue at 3:48 p.m. The owner came and got it.

• Police were called at 5:15 p.m. to a tenant dispute in the 2200 block of 1st Street. The tenants had complaints and counter complaints regarding noise.

• A 15-year-old Monroe girl was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, battery and criminal damage to property after police were called twice, at 5:48 and 7:59 p.m., to a residence in the 1300 block of 15th Avenue. After the first call, when she reportedly slapped a family member, she was cited for disorderly conduct. When her behavior continued, police came again, arrested her and took her to a juvenile detention facility.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Scott A. Rehwinkle, 44, Monticello, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 11:04 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, after police stopped him for equipment violation on Wisconsin 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Carlos Jesus Villa Rivera, 28, Mount Horeb, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after police stopped him at 12:06 a.m. Thursday, May 16, for an equipment violation on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Michael V. Kammes, 26, Argyle, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance after police stopped him at 2:42 a.m. Thursday, May 16, for an equipment violation on 6th Avenue at 1st Street.

• A student at New Glarus High School was cited for a second-offense truancy violation at 12:09 p.m. Friday, May 17. The student's parent was cited for a parental truancy liability violation.

• Stacy L. Austin, 26, New Glarus, was cited for allowing an animal to run at large at 7:41 p.m. Friday, May 17, after police observed her dog running in the area of 2nd Street and 13th Avenue.

• Alexander C. Grunke, 27, Mount Horeb, and Jennifer R. Huebner, 23, New Glarus, were cited for open intoxicants after police observed them pass an open bottle of beer to each other as they walked in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.

• Roger J. Kalscheur, 59, New Glarus, was cited for allowing an animal to run at large after police responded to a report of a dog bite in the 600 block of 5th Avenue at 5:50 p.m. Sunday, May 19.

• A theft of cash from a local business was reported at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15.

• A shattered patio window in the area of 14th Avenue was reported at 3:55 p.m. Saturday, May 18. A blunt object struck the window, causing it to shatter.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Sunday, May 19:

• Cesario Santiago Eslava, 34, Brodhead, was arrested on a second-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies and Brodhead police responded at 6:41 a.m. to a report of a vehicle in the ditch in the W800 block of Wis. 11 in Spring Grove Township. Santiago Eslava had been eastbound on Wis. 11 when he veered left of center, went onto the gravel shoulder and lost control. The vehicle slid back across the road before coming to a rest in the south ditch. He was uninjured, and his vehicle was undamaged. Deputies also cited him for driving with a revoked license, then released him to a responsible party pending court.

• Jason A. Buttchen, 25, Brodhead, was arrested on a first-offense charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies and Albany police responded at 3:51 p.m. to a rollover crash on South Cincinnati Street at County E in Albany. Buttchen had lost control, and the vehicle veered off the road and overturned onto its roof. He declined medical treatment at the scene. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed. Buttchen was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without vehicle insurance. He was released to a responsible party pending court.

• Christeena M. Rosenstiel, 20, Freeport, was cited for underage drinking and entering a licensed bar after deputies responded at 1:44 a.m. to complaint at Sir Buk's Dance Club, W5222 County KK, Monroe Township. Deputies learned she had been drinking at the club and located her inside.

• Efrain Elias Miranda, 23, Monroe, was cited at 2:29 a.m. for driving without a valid license, his second offense within three years, after deputies stopped a vehicle on 9th Street at 29th Avenue in Monroe for a traffic infraction that occurred in the W5200 block of County KK in Monroe Township.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Harvey L. Shirley, 64, Benton, was cited for permitting a minor to drive a motor vehicle following a traffic stop on County J in Benton Township at 8:24 a.m. Saturday, May 18.

• Katherine S. Galason, 48, Itasca, Ill., was cited for speeding on Wis. 81 in Darlington at 11:06 a.m. Saturday, May 18.

• John R. Rowley, 28, Darlington, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large after a deputy responded at 12:21 p.m. Saturday, May 18, to a complaint of a dog running loose in the area of Ohnstad Road in Darlington Township.

• Todd A. Fish, 52, Loves Park, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign on County XX in Belmont at 12:49 p.m. Saturday, May 18.

• Mihcaelle L. Houzenga, 41, Wheatland, Iowa, was cited for careless operation of an ATV following a stop on the Cheese Country Trail at 3:46 p.m. Saturday, May 18.

• Dana L. Lasater, 52, South Wayne, was cited for disorderly conduct and misuse of 911 after a deputy responded to West Grove Street in South Wayne to check the welfare of a person who called 911 and hung up.

• Hannah R. Saalsaa, 16, Argyle, was cited for a violation of her graduated driver's license at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, May 18, on Wis. 78 in Argyle Township.

• A deputy responded to a barking dog complaint on Frontier Street in Benton at 4:20 a.m. Friday, May 17.
