MONROE - Karen Rackow, 56, Monroe, was cited for falsifying a crash report. Eric Rackow, 21, Monroe, was cited for obstructing an officer; knowingly operating a vehicle after driver's license was revoked; causing property damage (civil offense); operating after revocation (criminal offense); and failure to notify police of a crash. Michelle L. Priebe, 20, Monroe, will be cited for criminal hit-and-run; causing property damage to an attended vehicle; following too close; and failure to notify police of a crash. All subjects were released pending court.

At about 1:15 a.m., Friday, May 14, deputies investigated a report of a hit-and-run traffic crash at the intersection of Town Center Road and Woelfe Road in the Town of Clarno. It was reported that a second vehicle fled the scene of the crash after it had collided with a pick-up driven by Karen S. Rackow. Further investigation revealed that Karen Rackow was not the operator, and the crash occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m., May 14, 2010.

Deputies determined that Eric S. Rackow was operating a pickup truck and was eastbound on Town Center Road, making a right turn onto Woelfe Road, when a second pick up truck, driven by Michelle L. Priebe, was following too close and swerved right to avoid rear-ending the Rackow truck. Priebe collided with Rackow as he made the right turn. Neither Rackow, Priebe nor Priebe's passengers were injured in the crash. The trucks received severe damages. (Karen Rackow was not involved in the crash.)
