Monroe Police

MONROE - Darianna V. Keister, 19, Monroe, was cited for underage drinking at 12:21 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, after police stopped a vehicle for driving the wrong way down a one-way street in the 1600 block of 9th Street. The driver, Kevin A. Granberg, 24, Beloit, was cited for the moving violation.

- Ryu R. Voegeli, 18, and William B. Robison, 19, both of Monroe, were cited for loitering after police responded to a complaint of people screaming behind a church in the 1400 block of 10th Street at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday, May 16. Voegeli was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

- Jeffrey C. Miller, 18, Monroe, was cited for underage drinking in the 1500 block of 13th Street at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday, May 16.

- Police are investigating a case of theft at Stop 'N' Go, 1607 9th St., after responding to a report at 11:52 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, that a group of people worked together to distract the cashier while some shoplifted beer and snacks. The case is under investigation.

- A dog owner was warned after police responded at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, that the dog was running at large in the 1900 block of 11th Avenue.

- A resident in the 1600 block of 12th Avenue lit unwanted tree stumps on fire and called police at 12:08 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, when the flames got too high. Police warned the resident for open burning without a permit. The fire department was not needed.

- A warning notice was sent to a property owner in the 1000 block of 24th Avenue for vehicles and junk stored in the yard, after police took a complaint about the yard at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday, May 16.

- Dog owners in the 2300 block of 17th Avenue and 1900 block of 9th Street were warned Wednesday, May 16, to keep the dogs quiet after police responded to complaints.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Samantha Jo Masseur, 24, Juda, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, battery and endangering safety by negligent use of a dangerous weapon after deputies and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, to a disturbance at a residence in the W2600 block of Greenbush Road in the Town of Sylvester. Russell E. Terhark, 25, Juda, was also arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery. Masseur allegedly drove a truck toward Terhark with the intention of hitting him. Both sustained minor injuries. Masseur and Terhark were jailed pending court or bond.

- Keith A. Simonson, 42, rural Brodhead, was cited for driving with a suspended license and keeping open intoxicants in a vehicle at 6:51 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, on Town Center Road near Brunkow Road in the Town of Jefferson. A passenger, Steven A. Schee, 55, Orfordville, was also cited for keeping open intoxicants in a vehicle.
