Monroe Police

MONROE - Police were dispatched at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a gas drive-off in the 1000 block of 9th Street. The amount left unpaid was $15, and the case is under investigation.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Jonathan R. Leverton Duerst, 21, New Glarus, was stopped for speeding at 6:49 p.m. Tuesday in the N9000 block of Wisconsin 69, Town of New Glarus. Duerst was issued citations for speeding and driving with a revoked license, fourth offense. He was released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday:

• Dustin J. Hillyer, 33, Reedsburg, was arrested at 1:15 a.m. for disorderly conduct and driving a vehicle without the owner's consent after deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle from Wood Street, Belmont. After searching the area, deputies located the vehicle and arrested Hilyer and issued a citation for driving after suspension. Hilyer remains jailed.

• A deputy responded to a complaint of a dog running at large at 6:39 a.m. on County J, Benton.

• A deputy responded at 8:05 a.m. for a complaint of a suspicious vehicle located at Cub Hollow Road, Gratiot Township. The deputy located the vehicle and learned the driver was out turkey hunting.

• A deputy responded to a report of theft at 1:11 p.m. at Temple Avenue, Benton.

• A deputy responded at 4:30 p.m. for a report of animal neglect at Wis. 81, Argyle Township.

• A deputy took a report of a civil dispute at 10:53 p.m. at West Estey Street, Shullsuburg.
