MONROE - On Thursday, March 7:

- Michelle M. Zier, 32, Freeport, was arrested at 2:27 a.m. in the 1800 block of 12th Street on an outstanding warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department. She posted the required bond and was released.

- Matthew T. Linares, 35, Monroe, was arrested on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration at 5:41 p.m. in the 2800 block of 6th Street. Linares was warned for the expired registration. He was jailed. A felony charge of possessing marijuana, second or greater offense, was filed against him Friday, March 8, in Green County Circuit Court. His signature bond is set at $1,000. His preliminary hearing is March 21.

- A property owner was sent a notice to shovel a sidewalk in the 1900 block of 11th Avenue after police responded at 7:52 a.m. to a citizen complaint.

- An employee at Walgreens, 717 8th Ave., reported at 9:02 a.m. that someone had spraypainted an obscene picture in the parking lot.

- A tenant in the 400 block of West 21st Street complained at 9:27 a.m. about the coarse language in an eviction letter from his landlord, who is also his aunt. Police advised him the matter is civil.

- The owner of an apartment building at 22nd Avenue and 1st Street was advised of a complaint from an adjoining property owner at 9:31 a.m. about the way the parking lot is being plowed.

- A stray calico cat found in the 100 block of Swiss Court was turned over to the Green County Humane Society at 12:47 p.m.

- An officer on patrol warned a skateboarder for skating in the street in the 500 block of 4th Avenue at 12:56 p.m. The skateboarder countered it is the city's fault he has to skate in the street because the city hasn't plowed its skatepark.

- A habitual runaway, a 17-year-old girl, was reported missing again from a residence in the 2000 block of 14th Avenue. Police referred the case earlier this week to Green County Human Services.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Christian Timothy Black, 34, Monroe, was arrested on charges of strangulation, battery and disorderly conduct after deputies were called at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, to investigate a domestic disturbance at Black's residence in the W8400 block of Wis. 39 in the Town of York. Deputies found evidence of physical abuse that had been ongoing for several hours starting the day before and running into the early hours of that morning. Black was located in Madison and arrested with the assistance of Madison police. In Green County Circuit Court Friday, March 8, he signed an $8,000 signature bond and $2,000 cash bond. Court records indicate he screamed at and kicked a woman, strangled her and punched her repeatedly. His preliminary hearing is March 14.

- Tara B. Fetterolf, 19, Monroe, was cited for underage drinking, second offense within 12 months, after deputies located a vehicle in the ditch in the W6500 block of Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Monroe at 1:34 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. The driver, Brittany N. McAdory, 20, Monroe, was eastbound when she lost control on the snow-covered road and veered into the ditch. No injuries or vehicle damage were reported. The vehicle was pulled out of the ditch by a private party.

- Nicole L. Harding, 38, Brodhead, was cited for driving with a suspended license and speeding 79 mph in a 55 mph zone in the W3700 block of County EE in the Town of Mount Pleasant at about 5:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 6.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, March 7:

- Sydnor S. Stipe, 48, Madison, was cited for driving with a suspended license and no proof of vehicle insurance at 9:22 a.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

- Jacob J. Reeson, 27, Ridgeway, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 10:07 a.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

- Steve M. Dalebroux, 21, Luxemberg, was cited for speeding at 11:03 a.m. on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

- A deputy investigated a complaint of animals being mistreated at a location on Wis. 23 in the Town of Darlington at 2:25 p.m.
