Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Lucretia M. Sowell, 33, Belleville, was arrested at 4:22 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 for possession of marijuana, second offense, and she was cited for operating while suspended. Sowell was arrested following a traffic stop for a registration violation on County D north of Willow Lane, Town of Exeter. The passenger and owner of the vehicle Timothy L. Taylor, 42, Belleville, was arrested for receiving stolen property and cited for non-registration of a vehicle and failure to apply for a title. Taylor was jailed pending court. Belleville Police and K-9 unit Ike assisted with the traffic stop.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On Friday, Feb. 28:

• Connie L. Langrehr, 39, Monroe, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. in the 1800 block of 9th Street for an outstanding warrant issued by the Rock County Sheriff's Department. Langrehr posted bond and was released pending court.

• James L. Cowell, 27, Monroe, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. in the 2800 block of 13th Street for driving a vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant, possession of cocaine, felony bail jumping and damage to property. Cowell was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

• Leroy A. Parmer, 37, Monroe, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. in the 2800 block of 13th Street for an outstanding warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department. Parmer was confined in the Green County Jail

• Benjamin E. Tackett, 25, Monroe, was arrested at 3:06 a.m. Sunday, March 2 for driving under the influence, third offense. Tackett was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.



Darlington Police

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, Feb. 27:

• Brian R. Link, 25, Glenwood City, was cited at 12:31 a.m. for disorderly conduct following a complaint at the Super 8.

• Reanna R. Parker, 32, Darlington, was arrested at 10:29 p.m. for an arrest warrant through Lafayette County.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - On Sunday, Feb. 23:

• Police assisted a citizen at 5:33 p.m. with a report of someone compromising an email account. The citizen had not lost any money and was informed to close their account and continue to monitor their finances.

• Police responded at 9:05 p.m. to the 600 block of 1st Street, to assist a landlord with the removal of unauthorized tenants. The tenants unknowingly paid to sublease to an person unauthorized to sublease the apartment. The subjects cooperated and removed their items from the residence.

On Thursday, Feb. 27:

• Police responded at 5:29 p.m. to the 300 block of Heidi Court for a report of suspicious activity regarding foot prints in the snow going around a house. Everything appeared fine.

• Police observed a bus parked in the school lot with the parking lights on at 8:18 p.m. Police checked the area, and everything appeared fine and the parking lights were turned off.

On Friday, Feb. 28:

• Police looked into a deer carcass that was found in the 1100 block of Elmer Road at 8:30 a.m. Wisconsin DNR assisted, and it was determined no illegal activity was involved.

• Police responded at 4:27 p.m. to an alarm in the 500 block of Durst Road. The alarm was set off by an employee.

• Jonathon F. Rindy, 25, Cuba City, was arrested at 6:18 p.m. on a failure to pay a fine warrant through the Albany Police Department following a traffic stop for a defective headlamp. Rindy posted bond and was released.

• Police received a gas drive off complaint at 1:40 p.m. Saturday, March 1 in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. The incident remains under investigation.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday, Feb. 28:

• A female adult was treated at Monroe Clinic hospital after a cat bite incident that occurred at a residence on Faymont Road, Fayette Township at 7:55 p.m. The report will be forwarded to the Lafayette County Health Department for a follow-up.

• Matthew J. Magby, 21, Belmont, was cited at 1:18 p.m. for failure to obey a stop sign on West Mound Road, Belmont Township.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - Two juvenile males were cited at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue, for theft. Court dates were issued.

• Rachel R. Simpson, 20, Brodhead, was arrested at 12:57 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 in the 1300 block of 20th Street for domestic abuse-related battery and disorderly conduct. She was transported to the Green County Jail.
