Lafayette County Sheriff
DARLINGTON - On March 1:
Norman L. Hostetler, 65, Humboldt, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 2:04 p.m. on Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township.
Simon J. Bonjour, 20, Monroe, was cited for operating after suspension at 2:36 p.m. on Wis. 11, Wayne Township.
Steven Alba, 21, Elgin, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 7:01 p.m. on County W, White Oak Springs Township.
Lucian J. Lemak, 52, Monroe, was cited for no insurance on motor vehicle at 7:47 p.m. on Wis. 11, Gratiot Township.
New Glarus Police
NEW GLARUS - On Feb. 25:
Flooding to local streets required Public Works to put up barricades at 12:36 p.m. on 3rd Avenue and 2nd Street as well as the 1500 block of 2nd Street.
An injured animal was reported at 8:31 p.m. to the 500 block of 3rd Street. The animal was dispatched.
Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 8:40 a.m. with a line down on County H at Dahlk Road. The line was either a cable network or telephone line and it was removed fro m the roadway.
Police responded at 10:32 p.m. to the 300 block of 9th Avenue for a 911 call. It was found that a subject possibly came down with the flu. No EMS was requested.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE - On Feb. 26:
Angel Castro Gonzalez, 25, Monroe, was cited for speeding at 3:38 a.m. in the N4100 block of Wis. 69 in Monroe. Gonzalez was also cited for no insurance and operating without a valid license (2nd offense, crime). He was released pending court.
Philip E. Fields Jr, 23, Albany, turned himself in at 4:55 p.m. at the Green County Sheriff's Office on a failure to pay fine warrant issued by Green County. Fields posted bond and was released.
Joni L. Conkle, 39, Beloit, was cited for operating after revocation (criminal) during a traffic stop for speeding at 5:07 p.m. in the W1900 block of Wis. 11 in the Town of Spring Grove. Conkle was released pending court.
On Feb. 28:
James R. Haas, 31, Albany, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. at a residence in the W2900 block of Purintun Road, Town of Albany. Haas was arrested on two failure to pay fine warrants that were issued by Green County. Haas was jailed pending bond.
