Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On March 12:

♦ A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 7:46 a.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

♦ Theft was reported at 8:32 a.m. on Riverside Road in Wiota Township.

♦ A deputy assisted a citizen at 12:08 p.m. on South Kennedy Street in Shullsburg.

♦ A deputy came upon a disabled vehicle at 8:20 p.m. on Wis. 81, Elk Grove Township.

♦ Dylan D. Gile, 26, Gratiot, was arrested on a valid Department of Corrections warrant at 10:04 p.m. Gile was brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he remains in custody.

On March 13:

♦ An injured deer was reported at 7:32 a.m. on County D in Fayette Township.

♦ An animal problem was reported at 12:01 p.m. on Gilbertson Road in Fayette Township.

♦ A deputy assisted Hazel Green Police at 1:38 p.m. on Lindholm Lane in Belmont Township.

♦ A deputy assisted Blanchardville Police at 2:23 p.m. on School Street in Blanchardville with a welfare check.

♦ A criminal damage complaint was reported at 4:08 p.m. on South Galena Road in Benton Township.

♦ A traffic complaint was reported at 4:32 p.m. on County F in Fayette Township.

♦ Deputies responded at 8 p.m. to East Main Street in Shullsburg for a welfare check.

♦ A deputy responded at 8:37 p.m. to Mullen Road in White Oak Springs Township for a welfare check.

♦ Disorderly conduct was reported at 8:53 p.m. on Main Street in Gratiot.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On March 12:

♦ Stacy K. Frederick, 31, Portage, was cited for operating after revocation at 4:46 p.m. in the W4800 block of Wis. 59 in the Town of Sylvester. Frederick was released pending a future court appearance.



Monroe Police

MONROE - On March 8:

♦ Juan Pablo Garcia Garcia, 20, Monroe, was arrested at 5:37 p.m. in the W5400 block of Wis. 11. Garcia was cited for operating without a valid driver's license (3rd offense) and speeding. He was also charged with bail jumping due to a violation of court ordered bail conditions and was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

On March 9:

♦ Justin D. Halvorson, 29, Juda, was arrested at 8:34 a.m. in the 600 block of 30th Street. Halvorson was wanted on two outstanding warrants, one from Dane County Sheriff's Office for non-support, and the other from the Beloit Police Department for operating under the influence. Halvorson was also cited for operating after revocation. Halvorson was confined in the Green County Jail pending transportation.

On March 10:

♦ Andrea L. Wilson, 23, Platteville, was arrested after an investigation into a hit-and-run accident at 5:20 p.m. near the 600 block of West 8th Street. Wilson was charged with operating while intoxicated (1st offense) and was also cited for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Wilson was later released to a responsible person pending court.

On March 11:

♦ Briana S. Smith, 21, Freeport, Illinois, was arrested for possession of marijuana and was cited for operating without a valid driver's license at 12:11 a.m. in the 1300 block of 13th Avenue. Smith was released pending a court appearance. A passenger in the vehicle, Abigail R. Hake, 20, Freeport, Illinois, was also cited for underage possession of alcohol and open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Hake was released pending a court appearance.

♦ Kory R. Costa, 23, Brooklyn, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at 1:37 a.m. after an officer observed a fight in progress in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Costa also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest, one from Rock County Sheriff's Office and one from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Costa was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.



Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - For the week of March 4 to March 10, the Brodhead Police reported: 18 calls for service, 11 follow up to incidents, 13 vehicle registrations, 60 citizen assists, 10 security checks, seven assists with other agencies, three traffic stops, 11 911 calls, three fire calls and 10 EMS calls.

On March 4:

♦ A 23-year-old Fitchburg woman was cited for operating without a valid license at 8:11 a.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

♦ A traffic crash was reported at 12:58 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. This was determined to be a non-reportable crash; no citations were issued.

♦ Theft was reported at 3:46 p.m. in the 200 block of East 2nd Avenue. A sign was removed from the property. This matter remains under investigation.

On March 5:

♦ A 17-year-old was cited for truancy at 12:51 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

♦ A 31-year-old Juda man was cited for failure to stop for school bus at 4:26 p.m. in the 1700 block of East 2nd Avenue.

♦ Disorderly conduct was reported at 6:43 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street. A juvenile at the residence caused a disturbance. Contact was made and a warning was issued.

♦ Police issued 17 parking citations for violation of winter parking ordinance.

On March 6:

♦ A 17-year-old was arrested for criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct following an altercation at a residence at 12:22 a.m. in the 800 block of 1st Center Avenue.

♦ A 75-year-old Brodhead man was cited for failure to stop for school bus at 1:22 p.m. in the 600 block of 17th Street.

♦ Fraud was reported at 2:33 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. A fraudulent check was received in the mail. No information was given out by complainant; information case only.

♦ Police issued two parking citations for violation of the winter parking ordinance.

On March 7:

♦ A runaway was reported at 7:11 a.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street. The subject was located and returned home safely.

♦ Truancy was reported at 12:25 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Contact was made and a warning was issued. While at the school on this case, eight additional truancy cases were pulled; all were issued warnings for truancy.

♦ Disorderly conduct was reported at 3:02 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Several subjects caused a disturbance. Contact was made and warnings were issued.

On March 8:

♦ Theft was reported at 4 p.m. in the E400 block of 23rd Street. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the building. This matter remains under investigation.

On March 9:

♦ A code violation was reported at 8:45 a.m. in the 100 block of 10th Street. A report was received of caution tape being around a property following a fire. This matter was resolved.

♦ A code violation was reported at 12:58 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 2nd Avenue. A report was received of excessive dog refuse in the yard of this property. This case is pending contact with a resident.

On March 10:

♦ Damage to property was reported at 11:57 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. A window of an undisclosed value was damaged. This matter remains under investigation.
