MONROE - On Wednesday, July 24:
A burglary was reported at 8:47 a.m. in the 1500 block of 9th Street. A table saw, mower and snowblower were found missing from a storage shed.
A landlord reported a civil dispute with a resident over property at 9:18 a.m. in the 2500 block of 12th Street. Police refereed the dispute.
A second warning notice was sent to a property owner in the 1800 block of 17th Avenue after police responded at 6:47 p.m. to a complaint of unmowed grass and a pile of brush in the yard.
On Thursday, July 25:
A manager at Taco Bell complained at 12:43 a.m. about people loitering in the restaurant's parking lot in the 600 block of West 8th Street. The people were warned to leave. Police also gave the manager advice on ways to alleviate the ongoing problem, like posting signs that will make it easier for police to enforce rules and cite loiterers if necessary.
A substance that appeared to be butter was smeared on a vehicle in the 800 block of 11th Street, a caller at 7:55 a.m. reported. The same vehicle was egged last week.
A residential property owner in the 2800 block of 14th Street was warned to clean up the yard after police responded to a complaint at 9:30 a.m. about inoperable vehicles, a boat and bags of garbage left in the yard.
A vehicle egging was reported at 10:30 a.m. in the 900 block of 19th Avenue.
A dog owner in the 1800 block of 20th Street Court was warned to keep the dogs under control after police responded to a complaint at 11:59 a.m. that the dogs get into neighbors' yards and bark a lot.
Police responded at 12:31 p.m. to a 911 hangup in the 2300 block of 14th Avenue. Everyone at the location denied there being a problem.
A girl's unlocked bicycle was reported stolen at 12:56 p.m. from the bike rack at Monroe High School.
Police responded at 2 p.m. to a complaint of four people hanging out and swearing in front of a business in the 1100 block of 16th Avenue. When the complainant asked the group to stop swearing, they swore more. Citations are pending in the case.
Police responded to a 911 call at 2:08 p.m. at the city pool reporting a custody dispute between a natural parent and county-appointed foster parent. No one was charged or cited.
A resident reported finding a small bag containing what appeared to be crack cocaine at 3:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of 8th Street. What the resident thought to be drugs was actually just a piece of plastic.
Police responded at 3:49 p.m. to a 911 hangup in the 800 block of 8th Street. There was no emergency. The caller had bought an "As Seen on TV" product that calls 911 at the push of the button. The device called 911 while the person was putting batteries in it.
Police responded at 4:42 p.m. to a 911 hangup in the 2800 block of 13th Street. There was no emergency. The caller's phone had dialed 911 while setting up voicemail.

MONROE - Margaret L. Neuenschwander, 85, South Wayne, was cited for failure to keep her vehicle under control and for operating left of center after deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, July 25, in the W9700 block of Wisconsin 11 in Cadiz Township. Neuenschwander was injured in the crash and transported by ambulance for treatment. She was westbound on Wis. 11 when she lost control of her vehicle and it went across both lanes of traffic, entering the south ditchline after striking the curb. The vehicle then traveled a short distance up and along the embankment, hitting several trees and shrubs, before going back toward the road. It traveled into the path of an oncoming eastbound semi-truck and trailer driven by Daniel R. Hyer, 45, Lancaster. Hyer took evasive action but was unable to avoid the collision. He reported no injuries. Neuenschwander's vehicle was severely damaged and towed. The airbags deployed. Hyer's semi-truck sustained severe front-end damage and was also towed. Lafayette County deputies assisted at the scene, as did the Wisconsin State Patrol, South Wayne EMS, Green County EMS and the Browntown Fire Department.

DARLINGTON - On Thursday, July 25:
Jennifer M. Berry, 31, Cuba City, was cited for driving with an expired vehicle registration and no proof of vehicle insurance at 7:37 a.m. on County J in Benton.
Pamela J. Stark, 57, Galena, Ill., was cited for speeding at 9:54 a.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township.
A deputy transported Cayla J. Mutert, 20, Cuba City, to Grant County on a valid Grant County warrant.
