Monroe Police

MONROE - On Saturday:

• Chelsea R. Knell, 25, Monroe, was arrested at 12:33 a.m. for bail jumping, possession of illegally obtained prescriptions, possession of drug paraphernalia and open intoxicants in a vehicle in the 1300 block of 17th Street. Another occupant in the vehicle, Darien V. Shimko, 19, Brodhead, was arrested or possessing a prescription drug not labeled as required and cited for underage alcohol consumption, second offense. Knell was jailed pending court. Online court records show Knell was out on a signature bond for a charge of substantial battery, barring her from having contact with the Friendly Inn Bar and from drinking. Green County deputies and K-9 unit Ike assisted at the scene.

• Randall S. Zuber, 36, Monroe, was arrested at 11:03 p.m. for two counts of bail jumping in the 1300 block of 17th Avenue. Zuber was jailed pending court. Online court records show Zuber was out on a signature bond for charges of bail jumping from October. Bond required that he not drink.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Daniel B. Schwartz, 35, rural Albany, was arrested at 1:31 a.m. Saturday for two counts of obstruction/resisting an officer and cited for open intoxicants in a vehicle after deputies assisted Beloit police with a check welfare call at a residence on Bump Road, Town of Albany. Schwartz was jailed pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A deputy investigated a suspicious person complaint at 8:30 a.m. on County Y, Wiota Township.

• A deputy responded to a theft complaint on County K, Darlington Township, at 1:14 p.m.

• Tevin Salisbury, 18, Shullsburg, was arrested at 6:34 p.m. Saturday, for disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a domestic dispute on West Union Street, Shullsburg. Salisbury was jailed and later released.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police took a report of fraud at 5:29 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of 10th Avenue. Investigation into the matter continues.

• Nicholas O. Grunke, 29, Dodgeville, was arrested at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday on a Department of Corrections warrant and also charged with carrying a concealed weapon after police located a pair of brass knuckles in Grunke's pocket. Grunke was jailed pending court.

• Police responded at 5:57 p.m. Thursday, to investigate a suspicious person on Durst Road. Investigation revealed a domestic disturbance occurred on 14th Avenue in the Village. No arrests were made and reports were forwarded the District Attorney's Office.

• Police were dispatched to a report of gunshots heard in the village limits at around 12:55 a.m. Friday. Police checked the area but located nothing.

• Police responded to a report of a subject walking southbound on Wisconsin 69 without shoes on. Police contacted the subject who said he was making his way to Tennessee. The subject was given a ride to Monticello and then a Green County deputy escorted him to Monroe.
