BRODHEAD - For the week of Dec. 24 to Dec. 30, the Brodhead Police Department had 15 calls for service, nine vehicle registrations, 21 citizen assists, 23 security checks, 10 assists with other agencies, 15 traffic stops, 12 911 calls, one fire call and nine EMS calls.
On Dec. 25:
• A 30-year-old Freeport man was cited for speeding at 11:53 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
• A 37-year-old Brodhead woman was cited for dog at large at 12:33 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 3rd Avenue.
On Dec. 26:
• A 25-year-old Madison man was cited for speeding at 8:44 a.m. in the 500 block of East 9th Avenue.
• A 56-year-old Davis, Illinois, man was cited for speeding at 9:41 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
• A 53-year-old Appleton woman was cited for speeding at 11:49 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
• Fraud was reported at 12:53 a.m. in the 1100 block of 14th Street. A subject was a victim of an online scam.
• A male subject was warned for disorderly conduct at 11:13 p.m. Dec. 27 in the 1000 block of 21st Street after officers overheard him yelling profanities.
• Fraud was reported at 10:49 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 700 block of 17th Street. A possible fraudulent check was received. The matter remains under investigation.
On Saturday:
• Loud music was reported at 1:22 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. Contact was made, and the matter was resolved.
• Illegal dumping was reported at 10:20 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Refuse was being placed in another business dumpster. Contact was made, and a warning was issued.
• A 21-year-old Juda woman was cited for speeding at 4:40 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.
• A 30-year-old Brodhead woman was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 7:18 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street.

MONROE - On Sunday:
• Ryan M. Richardson, 35, Brodhead, was arrested on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Community Corrections at 10:16 a.m. in the N4200 block of Park Road in the Town of Decatur. Richardson was jailed.

DARLINGTON - Saray Jara-Hernandez, 37, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for operating without a valid license at 6:10 p.m. Dec. 22 on Galena Street.
• Jose A. Hernandez-Herna, 21, Darlington, was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign at 12:43 a.m. Dec. 23 on North Main Street.
• Jeremy L. Hefty, 35, Darlington was cited for speeding at 5:48 p.m. Dec. 23 on Main Street.
• Carlos Uteri-Viveros, 18, Darlington, was arrested for strangulation and disorderly conduct at 1:19 a.m. Monday following an investigation on Ohio Street. Viveros was also cited for operating without a license, driver possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, and underage drinking. Viveros remains jailed pending future court proceedings.
