Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Richard D. Hartwig, 52, Evansville, was arrested for fourth offense operating while under the influence; obstructing an officer; unauthorized use of an individual's personal identifying information to avoid criminal process or penalty; and on a child support warrant issued through Green County, following a traffic stop at about 5:30 p.m. Friday on Wisconsin 104, four-tenths of a mile south of Elmer Road in Brooklyn township. Hartwig was cited for operating left of center; open intoxicants in a motor vehicle; failure to notify DMV of address change; operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration; and operating after revocation. Hartwig was jailed.

New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - A juvenile was placed in a temporary home and is being referred to Juvenile Intake authorities on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police responded to a report of a juvenile out of control at about 4:45 p.m. Jan. 13 on Fifth Avenue. Police report a the juvenile, a 10-year-old, calmed down and was turned over to his mother. Police responded to a second call of a similar complaint at the same location at about 7 p.m., at which time the juvenile was taken into custody and turned over to Green County Human Services.

• Police received information at about 3:40 p.m. Jan. 14 regarding a fight that occurred Jan. 10 in the downtown area of New Glarus. Police report the alleged victim in the case did not wish to seek any criminal or municipal charges in the matter, and the matter was documented at the request of the complainant.

Monroe Police

MONROE - Robert E. Copeland, 36, Monroe, was arrested for disorderly conduct as a result of a domestic dispute at about 3:44 a.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of 17th Avenue. Copeland was jailed pending court.

• James J. Harder, 43, Monroe, was arrested for an outstanding Green County Sheriff's Department warrant at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Fourth Avenue West.

Lafayette County

DARLINGTON - Robert E. Dederich, 40, Monroe, was transported to Green County Jail to Lafayette County for a court appearance at about 7:15 a.m. Thursday. Dederich was returned to Green County following the hearing.

• Randy G. Joslin, 24, Shullsburg, was arrested for domestic abuse battery, and Amy E. Mesch, 31, Shullsburg, was arrested for domestic abuse disorderly conduct, at about 8 p.m. Thursday at a residence on East Truth Street in Shullsburg, after a report of a disturbance. Mesch was released after posting bond.

• Megan R. Elet, 20, South Wayne, was cited for operating after suspension at about 10 p.m. Thursday in South Wayne.

• Brandon A. Loken, 19, Darlington, was cited for driving after suspension and a seatbelt violation following a traffic stop at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday on County F in Willow Springs township.
